The truck runs and drives great. It’s a great looking ride. I get compliments every time I take it out. RECENT HISTORY: I bought the truck in August 09’. The previous owner operated the truck in Michigan over the past 10 years driving it around a small lake town during the summer. It was stored during the winter. Based on the VIN number it was built in Michigan. MECHANICS: I do not know how many miles are on the truck. The speedo cable goes into a Borg-Warner over-drive and the speedo gear is worn so both the speedo and odometer are not operating. The over-drive is an unusual feature and from my research it was probably a dealer add-on. This rig has a three-speed manual transmission converted from the column to the floor. Gages work, signals, lights, wipers, heater, even the original A.M radio (but it needs a speaker). There are two small occasional leaks that I see that are very small but nonetheless are there. The seal between the engine and the transmission has a very small leak. There is also a small transmission leak. This only happens every once in a while where there is visible evidence of the leak and then it’s very small. CONDITION: I’ve re-padded and recovering the seats. I did a meticulous job. It took me all winter. I added the three-point seat belts. The wheels are Ford wheels and I’m running radial tires. I replaced the auxiliary gas tank with new OEM. The body is in really great shape. It is rock solid and rides true. The whole interior was coated in Rhino. There is one area of surface rust. It is just below the trim on the passenger side back fender. This is an area prone to rusting because of a weld that runs along this seam. It is cosmetic and not at all structural. PHOTOSI replaced after-market bucket seats with head rests with stock seats that I recovered. There are a couple of photos of the truck from this past summer and the high back buckets seats are in those shots. The current configuration are with low back seats. There are also before shots of the floor boards before I lined them with Rhino coating.
