OKAY ALL YOU FORD GUYS....HERE YOU GO. I'M SELLING THIS FOR A FRIEND, BUT I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THE VIN AND IN ADDITION TO THAT, I HAVE THE FAMILY HISTORY FOR YOU. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW IN GA. IN 1969. SOMETIME LATER, THE OWNER WAS TRANSFERRED TO A MILITARY BASE IN TEXAS, WHERE THE CAR SPENT THE MAJORITY OF IT'S LIFETIME. WHILE IN TEXAS, THE CAR WAS PASSED ON TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S SON. HE DROVE IT FOR YEARS BEFORE FINALLY BLOWING THE MOTOR....OR SO HE THOUGHT. IT WAS ORIGINALLY EQUIPPED WITH A 302, BUT THE SON THOUGHT HE NEEDED A BIGGER MOTOR AND BOUGHT A 351. AFTER REMOVING THE 302, THEY FOUND IT WAS NOT BLOWN, AND THAT IT HAD SIMPLY BROKEN THE FLEXPLATE. HE OPTED TO PUT THE 351 IN ANYWAY AND GOT RID OF THE ORIGINAL 302. SEVERAL YEARS AGO, THE FAMILY MOVED HERE TO TN. THE SON CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE TORINO RIGHT UP TILL A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN HE DECIDED TO TAKE IT OFF THE ROAD AND RESTORE IT. CLEARLY...THAT NEVER HAPPENED. IT RAN WHEN IT WAS PUT UP, BUT HAD NOT BEEN RUN AGAIN TILL THE OTHER DAY. IT WAS MISSING THE PLUG WIRES, BATTERY AND BATTERY TRAY, BUT THE WIRES WERE REPLACED, AND WITH A LITTLE PRIME & A JUMP, SHE FIRED RIGHT UP. THE MOTOR SOUNDS STRONG. THE SHEET METAL BELOW THE TRAY IS ROTTED THROUGH, PROBABLY BY ACID. THAT ONE SPOT SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY AREA THAT IS ROTTED. THE FLOOR AND TRUNK PANS LOOK SOLID, AS DOES THE FRAME AND ROCKER PANELS. THE SEATS ARE ORIGINAL AND IN GREAT SHAPE, AS THEY HAVE BEEN COVERED SINCE NEW. THE HEADLINER , DASH PAD AND CARPET NEED REPLACEMENT, AS DO SOME SMALL TRIMS AND KNOBS INSIDE. THIS IS A FACTORY A/C CAR. ALL THE GLASS IS IN PLACE WITH NO CRACKS OR BREAKS APPARENT. THE BODY IS ALSO VERY SOLID BUT IT HAS SOME MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RT. REAR. IT NO LONGER HAS THE SIDE MOLDINGS, BUT THE FATHER STATES THEY WERE NOT ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT AND THAT HE HAD HAD THEM ADDED. THE BRAKE PEDAL IS SOFT, AND GOES TO THE FLOOR WHEN APPLIED. THE PICTURES PRETTY MUCH SAY THE REST. FUTURE POSSIBILITIES FOR THIS CAR ARE LIMITLESS. IT COULD BE A FAST , INEXPENSIVE RESTORATION TO A FACTORY ORIGINAL CLASSIC, CONVERTED TO NASTALGIA DRAG CAR, OR COULD EVEN BE CLONED INTO A COBRA JET.
