Vehicle Detail
Selling my Sprint ST to thin the "herd" and keep the boss happy. Boss seems to think that 5 bikes are too many. Overall, a very solid bike. A fun bike to ride with plenty of power and solid stopping ability. The handling on the Sprint is top shelf. I've had this out on multiple weekend touring trips and it's a solid ride. I've updated the bike with a Two Brothers exhaust, Sargent gel seat, bar risers, SW Motech rear rack assembly with removable plate, SW Motech tank ring adapter with the day pack shown in the last picture, and a bubble windshield that provides great protection without excessive size. Also included with the bike is a 10mm disc lock with reminder cable and a service manual for the Sprints. The bike was laid down by the previous owner. It happened in a gravel slide and the right fairing has some scrapes along with the right bag lid. From what I can tell it was a slow speed lay down since the scrapes were relatively small in both areas, about 3" each. No cracks and the scrapes were cleaned up and touched up by dealer. They aren't noticeable from a distance but when you are up close you can see the roughness. The bag lid was filled in and both painted in a silver to offset the color of the bike and match with the frame color keeping the color scheme going. The Yosemite Sam's are decals and can easily be removed if not wanted. At the end of last season the bike received a full service including oil, filter, plugs changed, and injectors synched. At the same time both sprockets were replaced along with a new chain and the brake pads were replaced at both ends. Tires were replaced last Spring and have about 1200 miles on them with plenty of life left. Prefer a local pickup so that I can hand the keys over directly and go over any additional items that may come up. I will not ship the bike but will assist the buyer with the shipping. Buyer must make all shipping arrangements (if necessary) to have the bike picked up at my home location. For local pickup will also include the stock seat and the stock exhaust. These two items won't go with a delivery service pick-up unless the buyer pays additional to have them also shipped. A deposit of $200 via Paypal will be due within 72 hours with the remainder due in cash or a certified check at time of pick-up. Title will not be released until payment is completed successfully. Bike is currently registered in PA and does have a current safety inspection. The bike is sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or otherwise. Deposit is non-refundable if buyer were to change his/her mind and not want to follow through after ending the auction. Ask away before bidding if you have questions. And finally, the mileage will rise a bit as the bike is being ridden. On Mar-22-11 at 03:50:53 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: I received a question about the gas mileage and forgot to click on the box to post the response to the auction page. The Sprint averages around 45mpg with occasions where I've gotten as much as 47. It depends on how you're riding the bike. Also, the Sprint does require 91octane or above to really perform. It runs on the mid-grade gas but the performance suffers and so does the gas mileage. On Mar-22-11 at 16:29:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Note 2: Ignore the asinine comment about the right bag and the high exhaust. I was talking to a friend about my Tiger when I was writing that response. Brake / Brain Fadeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. The right bag on the Sprint is a full bag and should probably hold a full-faced helmet if it is a small or Medium. My Shoei is a Large and it would get scraped up inside either bag. On Mar-23-11 at 14:12:08 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE 3: (And hopefully the last) I've added two additional pictures to answer more questions. First, a full helmet does fit into the bags contrary to what I'd said in a response earlier. The helmet shown is a Large and the bag closes easily without compressing the helmet. The other picture shows the SW Motech rear bag plate that mounts onto the rear rack assembly and provides the ability to handle a duffel bag or similar or get creative with a top case and mount to it.
