Vehicle Detail
This Beetle has been a daily vehicle until the timing belt broke. The vehicle was traveling at 55-60mph when the belt broke. There were no noises at all just a loss of power all of a sudden. This seems to be important information as I keep getting asked how it happened. The garage I took it too told me all the valves were bent and it needed the head redone. Aside from the major issue, the car does need other work. The engine, ABS, and airbag lights all have been on for the past three years now. I don't know why they are on but I meant to get to them as well as the timing belt, just never did as other things always seemed to take precedence. There is an oil leak and I added a quart every couple of months or so. The rear passenger inner wheel well covering is impacted in towards the wheel some. It does not rub or even touch the tire, it is just closer than it is supposed to be. This happened about 4 years ago when I backed into an embankment. You can see in the picture where the actual impact was where the paint is chipped. I never had it fixed since it was superficial. That is about all the negative. Everything else can be seen in the pictures. The rust spots are solid and are very easily fixable just never worth it to me since it was a work car. The interior is fair as far as clean goes. These seats just seem to stain so easily. I cleaned them very thoroughly a couple of years ago but it didn't take long to get marked again. The car really has been a good car for me and I wish it still worked. I am selling it because I just have too much going on right now and really don't have the room for it anyway as I have already replaced this car and my wife just doesn't want it around anymore either. The worst part about this was that a week before the belt broke I had four new Hankook Optimo H727 tires put on. These tires were $100 each and were a Consumer Reports best buy. I wish I could use them on a different vehicle but none match the size. I have one key and the owners manual for the car. The mileage I consistently got was 35 city and 42 highway. Any questions please email or call at 814-322-6392. Any bidders with negative or zero feedback must contact me before bidding. Vehicle must be picked up within two weeks and title must be notarized to buyer whether in PA or not. This is Pennsylvania law and I will not break it.
