Here we have a 1968 GMC SHORT BOX I bought this to make a nice little shop truck but just have too many projects The story with this old girl.... She was originally owned by the county, and they kept great service records which i have somewhere. The guy i bought her from was using her for yard work, but bought another truck. I spotted her and she became mine. She's got a straight 6 in her and the nicest 4 speed i've ever shifted in an old truck. My original plan was to stick a V8 in her, but she runs so good the way she is i just left her alone. I removed a few leafs from the rear to lower her a bit (I kept them in case somebody wanted to raise it back up). She still rides fine and can haul a Harley no problem. The short box has a steel floor, which has some rust holes in it. She needs rockers and cab corners which i have for her already and go with her. Her body is STRAIGHT with the exception of the passenger size fender which has a dent. It could be repaired without changing the fender. Brakes work great. Transmission works great. Engine starts and runs. I would drive this truck ANYWHERE. The seat needs redone or replaced. The guy i bought her from apperntly had a fetish for Duct Tape. As usual... the window regulators are hard to crank. The windows go up and down, but they are hard. This thing only has 54,000 original miles. I was going to throw a flat black paint job on her and some chrome wheels and drive her wheels off. Sorry about the pictures. All I had was my cell phone to take the picture with.
