Vehicle Detail

Here is my 1983 Jeep J10 Honcho with only 059,000 Original/Actual miles on the same body & the same original engine. I purchased it in 2006 in Laguna Beach, CA from the agent to the original senior/older owner whom I met in person later & brought it with me on a trailer to Oregon when I moved here in 2008. It was purchased NEW in Illinois & moved to Southern California in mid to late 80's & then was aquired or purchased by the agent as an investment until I bought it from him. When I bought it, it had 57K miles. I designed the canopy & had it made in the Los Angeles area @ a very few places that can bend metal that thick & it cost me almost $2500 complete with paint matching & canvas. Just the diamond plating alone cost me another $600 for the whole truck because they weren't something I could buy out there in the market but had to be made specially for this particular Jeep. 360V8, 4X4, Automatic, Ac(not working due to non-usage), New 22 inch wheels (less than a year ago here in Or), Winch, Good tires, Good tags & more. This truck is all original (paint, body & interior) accept for what you see extra which were added mostly after I purchased it. Custom Bumpers, Winch & Rollbar & I extended the rollbar to this canopy. The bed floor has the original red paint on it still & in good condition without small dents or even scratches to the ridges like most trucks have. It looks like NEW. The interior is perfect but I think I should always say ALMOST PERFECT just because it's not a new truck, I like to be conservative & use the word "Almost" even though 9 out 10 people advertising this same very truck would say "Perfect". The paint is still shiny & in good shape. there is a small area on the hood on the driver's side where it kind of curves down where it faded because of holding the buffer a little too long in that area when buffing in the past. The Honcho stickers (plastic) on both side look a little old & it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace them or just peel them off totally. The body has no dents at all & has NEVER been repainted. The roof is the only area which has been repainted to match the canvas. The fiberglass parts of the bed (the 2 rear fenders or quarter panels above the wheels) are perfect with no damage anywhere & the Tailgate looks like new without a single ding. The tow rope up front & the pindle tow hitch that's in the receiving hitch(seen in pictures) in the rear are NOT included. the original older owner NEVER changed the AM/FM radio & being a 4X4, you'd NEVER find trucks with original radio unless it's owned by an older individual which is the very sign of it not been abused & it's Originality. Most people would stage their pictures with correct lighting or in Hollywood driveways but I am not duplicating that so what you see is what you get & I doubt it if you can find another one any cleaner or with lesser miles "anywhere in the world". If you go to the internet(Google) & type in "1983 Jeep Honcho Sportside", on the very first page scroll down 7 or 8 titles & you will find this very truck pictured in Aliso Viejo California where I used to live in 2007 with it's original wheels when I was asking $29,000 for it @ that time. The truck is so unique & rare that it was cataloged on the internet since then for people to see & is not being deleted. This is for the Sportsman-Collector who wants to drive something that almost no one else has, yet MADE IN USA & the best is the fact that it's not only "An American Icon" but a JEEP that's a truck & not a regular truck but a StepSide or better say a SPORTSIDE in Jeep terms. Has many relatively new parts including shocks, battery, carburator & more. The 2 hood scoops which you see on the hood are ornamental ONLY & are put on using 2sided tape & can be easily taken off. It was inspected by my mechanic in early 2010 at the last service & has not been driven much since.
