History
This car was manufactured in September of 1999. This car was first registered as a leased vehicle and owned by two different owners since then. The most recent owner purchased it in 2009 with 57,000 miles on it and was subsequently repossessed in January of 2011 after which I was able to buy it at an auction. This vehicle has a clear and clean title history with no problems to report.
Mechanical
This Cadillac seems to be in good shape mechanically. It runs and drives just like it should- smooth and quiet. Everything works properly. The engine runs smooth and very strong. There are no coolant leaks and the car does not overheat. The transmission shifts smooth and crisp with no slipping or hesitation. There are no check engine lights or other warning lights illuminated. The tires have nearly 90% tread left. The brakes are good with over 70% pad left all the way around and stop this vehicle firmly without pulling or vibration. The air conditioning blows ice cold but the compressor clutch does rattle a bit. The underside of the car is clean and dry with no leaks or significant rust issues.(see pictures) We just serviced this car with new air filter and synthetic engine oil and filter. It has also been Virginia State inspected by an independent mechanic. It is ready to drive anywhere.
Exterior
The exterior of this Eldorado is smooth and mirror shiny as you can see from the pictures. This car does have a fairly significant number of minor cosmetic imperfections which I have tried to photograph. The car looks really good from a few feet away but it has quite a few touched up scratches and some rock chips etc. We buffed this car out after the touch up was done so it really looks pretty good but you need to know what you are getting. Please look at the pictures carefully. The worst of these is on the passenger side rear quarter panel right behind the door where there is a slight scrape. Also the landau top has a bulge right in the front corner of the sunroof where it doesn't quite sit flat with the roof. The wheels have some minor corrosion in the deeper recesses. Other than these minor things, this car actually looks quite good. I would rate the exterior a 7 out 10.
Interior
The interior of this Cadillac is nicer than the outside. The seats and carpet are clean and free of stains. There is no smoke or other unusual odors. All the power options work well. The defrost vent has popped out of the dash a bit like all these cars do(see picture). This car comes with one keyless entry remote and one set of keys. Also included are the owners manual and the spare tire and tools along with a trunk mat. The floor mats are missing. I would rate the interior a 9 out of 10.
