Vehicle Detail
For Auction: Chevrolet K5 Blazer, 4x4, 6.2l dieselM1009 CUCV. This is an ex military vehicle. Military use explains the low mileage. Please use check this page for general vehicle info about the M1009 Blazer and see what the truck is all about before asking general questions: http://www.olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_m1009.php I have no affiliation with that web page, it is for general information about the type of vehicle. This M1009 has approximately 76000 miles. The mileage may vary slightly at time of sale because I drive this vehicle on a regular basis. This vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition. In the past 3000 miles the front tie rod ends and rear drive shaft u-joints have been replaced. Truck does not smoke under acceleration and runs great. There are no oil leaks. Transmission shifts well, and 4x4 works as do front axle lockers. All lights work, including military black out lights. All tow shackles are in place. This vehicle has minimal rust, it appears to have been in the south for most of its life (vehicle was not in the vicinity of any hurricane floods). It does however have a small 1/4 diameter rust hole above the right rear tail light (shown in picture), the rust seems to be just at the hole as the surrounding area is not blistered or otherwise damaged. Typical rust areas such as the rocker panels are in great shape. The vehicle has small dents and dings throughout the body. The camo paint job is flaking off in some small locations (see pictures). It is not a show truck, but could be restored with minimal effort, or used as is. The rear tailgate and window winder work. The rear tailgate interior cover is shown removed in the pictures as the rods to open the tailgate need to be re-attached with factory clips. The cover is included, and the tailgate opens and closes with no issues. The glow plugs will likely need replacing in the near future, as it is getting harder to start on cold mornings. It does start on first try every time, and with warm southern climates this is not an issue. The tires are stock Goodyear Wrangler 31 x 10.5. The tires are worn between 50 and 75%, and are older tires. They hold air fine and I frequently drive on the highway with them. Bidders and interested parties are encouraged to check the vehicle out in person. Email or call with questions about the listing 239-850-4233.
