Vehicle Detail

Ok all, spring is approaching, now is the time to get ready and get your dream bike. This is my 2003 Honda ST1300 with 27,844 miles. Generic specifications are at this site. http://www.allan-wren.com/st1300_specifications.html Extras on this bike: -Zumo 550 Navigation System -Handlebar risers...brings them closer to you. I'm 5'9". -Corbin after market seat. -Betlem Top Box...silver matches the silver of this bike. -Throttle lock...this really is a long distance cruiser. Throttle lock saves your wrist. -Battery Tender -Power Windshield. This is NOT the ABS version, but the power windshield was added after the fact. The windshield itself is aftermarket, vented to eliminate the vacumn suction and optically correct. Ok...what's so cool about this bike? I've ridden it on 4500 mile trips. Summer 2010 we went to Sturgis South Dakota for the bike rally. This bike has phenomenal range. Gas tank is 7.7 gallons, I'm not aware of a bike with a larger stock tank. Combined with it's excellent gas mileage...50 to 58 mpg, this bike has range between 350 and 400 miles on a tank of gas. On some of our trips the gas stations were 180 miles apart. No worries with this bike. The power windshield...PERFECT. Up/down based on what you want to do. If it's raining, raise it high and it creates a bubble of protection. On a HOT day at low speed...take it all the way down and let the breeze hit you in the face. Riding position...this bike has handlebar risers so the handle bars come back closer to you. Your ride position is slightly forward. Seems to take the pressure off your butt. The corbin seat is nice, but I give credit to the riding position for the lack of fanny fatigue. On one of our trips when the others weren't with me, I went 400 miles in one straight shot and my rear didn't explode in pain. If you've been on a long ride you know what I mean. Finally...smooth power. this is a four cyclinder, fuel injected engine. You twist the throttle asking for power and it gives it. The bike has major balls!! All maintenance is up to date. Tires were new last summer before the Sturgis trip so have 4500 miles on them. The bike was always protected in my garage. It's GREAT! So...why am I selling it. I just bought a rolling couch with factory cruise control, sound system and all the toys you could ask for. Added on 3/8/11...People are asking about the antenna. You can see it on the back right in the picture. For the Sturgis trip I added a CB and sound system capability. There's a magnetic tank mount bag in front of me and it contained my IPOD, this sound prioritization/splitter thing and a high quality hand held CB radio. I wore a throat mic and a set of IPOD style ear phones. Everything was coming to me (IPOD, and CB) and I could talk with the push to talk throat mic. It worked really well, and having some kind of personal communications is definitely the way to go on a long trip like that. The Zumo 550 also supports satellite radio, you would just need to get the subscription and the antenna for that to function. The Zumo also supports pairing with your cell phone. On a long trip you stay connected. The magnetic tank bank, hand held CB, antenna and sound prioritization device are all included. Added on 3/12/11...Questions about payment and pickup of the bike or shipping. Pickup first...if you fly into the Rochester NY International Airport, I will pick you up. My home is about 30 minutes from the airport. You must be here in person to make the payment and sign the bill of sale. The remainder of the payment beyond the $500 paypal deposit is CASH only. Absolutely nothing other than cash will be accepted. This is where the options start happening. You can ride this bike home without any worries. I don't care what the distance is, it's that reliable. In this scenario you will need your own plate and insurance. I've already removed my plate from this bike. If you came in person, paid cash and signed the bill of sale, I will store the bike in my garage till June 1. You could pick it up at a later date or arrange shipping at your own expense. Key element here is you must be in here in person to sign the bill of sale and inspect the bike. Added on 3/13/11...The bike is tucked away in a corner of my garage for it's winter nap. I took a few more pictures including the odometer reading @ 27,844 without having to move it around. The weather will turn here in the next 3 weeks and I'll have it out and cleaned up. For the moment, anything you may notice in the new pictures is just garage dust. I added the VIN number also. On Mar-19-11 at 08:31:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Added on 3/19/11... A person was just here test riding the bike and we both noticed the little tag on the seat says Sargeant. So...the aftermarket seat is Sargeant, not Corbin. My apologies for the mistake, and I don't have the original.
