1973 PORSCHE 914 2.0 The 2.0 liter is considered by collectors as the most desirable 914 next to the 914-6. This puppy spent most of it’s life in California, some years in Florida, and since 5/2006 I have had it well garaged in Georgia - has therefore had a good dry life. This was a well optioned 2.0 with front and rear sway bars, fog lights, factory fuel injection, center console with gauges, and center pad/storage bin. Adding further to the desirability are factory 14" 5 lug polished Fuchs alloy wheels, 5 lug conversion with 911 front suspension, double muffler, 911 SC 3 spoke leather steering wheel, fully retractable Hirschman antenna, and a chromed factory air cleaner. Some engine/transmission seals will eventually need replacing as it has some oil leaks and some oil consumption which is also expected in an air cooled engine. Paintis Signal Orange - one of the favorite original colors, this 914 shines and is rust free, totally reliable – has never left me stranded, runs really strong. Check out the May 2006 issue of Hemmings Sports & Exotic car magazine. A Signal Orange 914 is on the cover and the article gives excellent technical / value information for Porsche 914s. The price guide in the article lists 'average' condition 914s at $9,500, since then the car has only grown in value, fetching on eBay anywhere between $14,500-$17,500.
