Vehicle Detail
2008 BMW K1200S. 4656 original miles. Was purchased new from BMW of Ft. Worth. I purchased the bike from the original owner late last year at 4477 miles and have put 179 miles on it since that time. I buy and sell bikes quite often as an enthusiast/collector and am not a dealer, so this is par for the course for me, especially since retiring 1 1/2 years ago. The bike is in beautiful showroom condition and I would love to keep it however, I truly have a space crunch due to my over zealous and perpetual enthusiasm for buying really nice bikes and having a short attention span. I am sure there are many of you out there with this condition. The bike runs flawlessly. I have the owners manual and two sets of keys. The bike is as it was when it left the dealer...really.......no mods or add-ons except for the optional color and key matched saddlebags. I have a clear Texas title in my name. Since purchasing the bike, I did a few things to bring it up to my high standards of bike cleanliness, and to make sure it was in tip top shape for the upcoming riding season. It really didn't need much as the original owner was very methodical as well about keeping the bike in top condition. Annual servicing by the BMW dealer (receipt in hand) New rear tire installed while being serviced (receipt in hand) New OEM windshield and mounting hardware only because the one that was on it when I purchased the bike had a few minor swirl marks. I am a bit OCD when it comes to the condition of my bikes. I still have the original windshield and it goes with the bike. BMW cover. This is an inside type of bike cover to keep garagre dust off the bike. Battery tender set up. There are no issues, surprises, or stories to tell about this bike. The new owner will be very pleased. I wil assist you in any way possible on shipping. I can make all the shipping arrangments if you prefer as I have been doing this a long time. I have an excellent carrier that I have used for many years that charges $550 for door-to-door delivery to any state in the Central and Eastern time zones, and $650 for delivery to any states in the Mountain and Pacific time zones. Also, if you decide on a Spring riding adventure and want to fly in and ride home, I would be happy to pick you up at DFW or Dallas Love Field and bring you back to my house. There is a very nice bed and breakfast within two minutes of my home that you can overnight at and then get a fresh start on your trip the next morning. Great food and great folks running the place.... Also, ship your riding gear to me in advance if you want, so you don't have to hassle with it at the airport. I love motorcycles of all kinds and have been riding and wrenching a long time. I will do whatever I can to help make this transaction a very pleasant experience. Lastly, my reserve is a less than the current NADA average retail price. Thanks for looking. Ron
