This Auction is being re-listed, apparently eBay canceled the sale because of a “listing violation” We apologize to the numerous bidders for any inconvenience this action may have caused. Unfortunately, the auction close date is now advanced to sometime Monday. Apparently, we must inform any potential buyers, “Do not mail us any cash.” Obviously, eBay must consider us an awfully foolish bunch. We have now changed the payment method from (cash or bank wire transfer to cash in person only, or bank wire transfer). So if the winning bidder has an overwhelming urge to mail us envelopes full of cash, please do not do so, it is against auction rules. Below is a copy of the email we received from eBay, informing us that the listing had been canceled. We normally wholesale at dealer only auto auctions, (Manheim, Adesa, Brashers). Over the past several years these auctions have continued to raise both their buy and sell fees, so we decided to try eBay, as you can see from our history, this is our 2nd eBay auction. This Mercedes is listed with NO RESERVE, it will be sold to the last bidder. We collect No additional fees at all (no doc fee, no title fee, no smog fee, no registration fee and for Non-Nevada residents no sales tax.) The maintenance records indicate that it was originally bought on 2/20/01 from Calstar Motors, located in Glendale, CA. The service history book has no stamps. Any Mercedes dealer will have access to the maintenance records, if provided with the VIN. However, some dealers will not release the information, but there are quite a few that will. All owner manuals and maintenance records are included. The car runs well, i.e. (engine runs smooth, trans shifts smooth with no slipping or clunking, car steers straight with no pulling, tire wear appears even. Body integrity is solid with no rattles squeaks or rust, there are no fluid leaks or any exhaust smoke) the air condition blows cold. The paint appears to be original with no defects i.e. (no clear coat peeling, blemishing, pitting, fading, or dulling) All power options work. The vehicle is exceptionally clean, easily among the cleanest 10% of used vehicles available. When acquired the vehicle was low on power steering fluid, we refilled, there are now no apparent leaks, sometimes bank repossessions sit for months before being processed and the rubber seals inside the power steering rack will dry out and leak, but when refilled they expand and are fine. Also, when accelerating and turning at the same time, I detect a slight clicking coming from the front axles (i.e. CV joints) it is very slight and most people would not notice, but figure that sometime within the next 10,000 miles the CV joints will need to be replaced.
