1953 Chrysler New Yorker 2-Door DELUXE Coupe V-8 "FORMER SHOW CAR FROM THE LATE 50's ? 60s" Original First Generation 331 Factory "HEMI" Engine The Body and Trunk are Very Sound without any signs of visable Rust, It Obviously needs Paint, The body is free of Dents and any major Damage. Both Bumpers need rechrome as both were Painted to match the Black Primered Body. All the stainless is in excellent shape But needs cleaned. (also painted black), The Windshield is Cracked and will need replacement. The Grill Is all there But also need to be replated. At one time the car was Painted "METAL FLAKE BLUE" I assume From it show car day's. The Interior Is in EXCELLENT Shape, All new in Black and Blue LEATHER This includes the headliner and Door Panels, as well as Rear Panels, It also has "NEW" Carpet. It starts and Runs Great! Everything Mechanical on this car is Original, There is a wiring issue with the fuel Gauge, and could use some of the wireing replaced as it is worn, ( 57 Years old ) The Transmission Is in very Good shape and shifts very well and NO leaks, All the Lights work etc. Converted to 12 Volts, Everything was replaced under the front end as far as I can see ( It look's New) I had the rear brakes and Wheel Cyl. Replaced less than 100 miles ago also turned the drums. It's got Dual exhaust and Sounds Bitch'in (straight pipes), The tires have about 90% rubber left . It also Has 2" Whitewalls. ENGINE -" FIRST GENERATION" Chrysler "Firepower" 331 cid V-8 Hemi rated @185 Horsepower all original (could use a good tune up.) Has Excellent Oil Pressure (80 lbs cold, 45 lbs hot) The car has Power Steering and Power Brakes...It was a radio Delete Car from the factory I do have a lot of spare parts that go with the car INCLUDING a Radio The Car is Lic. and Has current Reg. In CA. (I need to sell as I've got way to many projects going ) I bought The car to restore It back to It's show car day's But have lost Interest....
