Vehicle Detail
I am 3rd owner. The 1st owner was Mabel Hoffman in PA according to original Mopar owner card that I have. Mabel took ownership on 6-6-1966. I bought this car off a Mr. Andy Cantrell ,a retired Bilble teacher in PA in about 2001. Andy drove this car daily for a while. He towed it to CA for me . When I received the car it had approx. 85,000 miles on it. I drive this car seldom and mainly on the weekends. When I take it out I get lots of compliments and it drives super nice with the power steering. It has it's original 318 / 2 barrel engine which gets good gas milage. Andy added a after market air conditioner. In the approx. 10 years that I have had it I put on a new muffler, rebuilt the carb, put on new shocks and new brakes, and changed oil regularly. I also found and added an optional push bumper on front and a FM / 6 disk trunk mounted CD player with 100 watt amplifier and all new speakers that are all hidden. The FM works great but the CD player stopped working about 1 month ago. I also custom built a center console that contains 2 of the 4 speakers and this console can also hold your coffee cup and the remote stereo control. Trunk liner is original and even has original tire changing instructions with original jack. Car has cool back wheel skirts. Tires have plenty of tread and car has 1966 cool spinner hubcaps. I also have original non-spinner hubcaps. Interior is great especially roof liner. Cigarette lighter works. Dome and trunk lights both work. I have all repair paperwork from when Andy had car and my paperwork too. As for any problems the car has ripped driver seat as shown. Some bubbling of paint and body work from Andy's days behind back tires. No rust underneath which is good. The cars runs slightly hot because what Andy and I believe is due to the aftermarket air conditioning unit blocking the flow air slightly to the radiator. I only drive this car on non hot CA day's to prevent engine from getting too hot. Whoever buys this car may want to add some kind of electric cooling fans. Also rear fuel lines are old and my mechanic said these might need to be replaced.I am selling my car because I bought a bike and I don't drive this much so I am hoping the new owner will enjoy this classic.
