Vehicle Detail
I've decided to part with my 1996 GTI VR6 Turbo after owning it about 2.5 years (purchased from the original owner). I have put thousands into this car, which is perfect for someone looking for a good start, but still wants to work on it. It made 435 HP and 442 Ft Lbs of Torque on the dyno...There is an image of the dyno sheet, as well as videos of it on the dyno (see below) Some of the modifications done are: Garret Turbo T3/T4 Hybrid Air/Air Intercooler 4 PLY Couplers and T-Bolt Clamps Peloquin LSD (also have most of the original transmission which you can have) Autotech Stage 3 clutch - Just a few hundred miles ago. $800+ C2 Motorsports Chip - redline moved to 7k Much larger injectors 2nd fuel pump 3" Exhaust all the way back. Apexi AVC-R Electronic Boost Control Head Gasket Spacer to drop compression. Alpine Radio About 2 years ago this car was on the dyno and ran 435HP and 442Torque. Not too much has changed so I assume its about the same. Also has always had Mobile 1 Full Synthetic as long as I have owned it. Pictures and Videos of her in action.... http://www.eld101.com/gti If there is anything additional you would like to see close up, message me and I would be glad to post more.Note: Videos ending with .3gp require QuickTime to play. Winner will also get the side moldings which I pulled off, a box of many transmission parts (combined the best of 2 trannys when I had the LSD installed) as well as 2 additional tires which are used but still have a decent amount of tread left. Recently I replaced the clutch slave cylinder due to a leak and have not been able to bleed it. I either have a loose connection or air is getting in somewhere else. Please take note of this when calculating shipping/towing. I would think its fairly simple to fix but I simply do not have time, also the main reason I am selling (it does start, but the clutch does not actuate). It has been sitting most of the winter so I would fill it with some fresh gas and maybe some injector cleaner. Anyone in the Columbus, OH area is welcome to come see the vehicle in person. Please message me any questions prior to bidding. This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold. This auction has a low reserve price.
