Up for your consideration is this 1960 Chevrolet "Chevy" Apache 10 1/2 Ton Panel Truck. Please review the attached pictures. The exterior has seen better days.....it has been tagged in its prior life and painted white with house paint before being saved from further abuse. Aside from the special "artistic" paint job, the truck appears to be in overall good shape. The truck is relatively straight with a dent in the left front fender and a minor dent in the right front fender. Other than that, the truck is surprisingly dent free. A previous owner did some body work on the lower panels where it had started to rust, lower fenders at rear corner, lower doors at lower corner and rear lower panels by wheel well opening. It is an amature attempt, but it successfully stopped the rust from spreading. All glass is present, except for the drivers side wind wing. Frame is there, glass is missing. All doors opening freely and do not sag. Overall, a good, solid truck ready for a full restoration or parts. There is a period correct small block V8 under the hood. Not sure these came from the factory that way, but it could have been a factory option. It turns over and runs if you spray carb spray into the carburator, but it will not run on its own. It appears the fuel pump is clogged. I have purchased a new fuel pump and in-line fuel filter, although they have not been installed yet. The truck has a relatively new gas tank, as shown in a photo. The interior dash is unmolested and complete. The bench seat is not correct for the truck and is in need of repair or replacement. The cab floors are solid. The solid oak flooring in the rear of the truck is in amazing condition and just "begs" to be cleaned up and restored. The rear of the truck is double walled, and in excellent condition with no dents that were noticed. The frame is solid and straight. I have acquired two air cleaners for the truck and they will be included in the sale as well. I hooked a battery up to the truck the other night and tried starting it again. Generator light came on, charged up, starter engaged and engine tried cranking over. Would not turn over - not enough fuel to carburator. Again, I have purchased a replacement fuel pump, but it has not been installed on the truck. Fuel pump and filter come with sale of the truck. The Title has been lost. The original owner passed away before the title was located. The truck will be sold with a Bill of Sale signed by the original owner. The truck has original black California plates and also has been registered under new California plates, but the new plates have not been paid since 2008. Unknown if the black California plates are current or not. More than likely, they are out of the system. I will be selling the car with the paperwork from the original owner as well as an additional Bill of Sale between myself and the new owner. The new owner will assume responsibility for registering the truck and getting it road worthy. This truck is being sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" with no warranty, expressed or implied. Being sold for parts or repair. Please note mileage listed is assumed and could be more like 127302 or more. The truck will need to be towed or trailered. Please feel free to ask questions.
