2002 Volvo V70 XC Cross Country AWD Wagon
This is a nice Volvo V70 XC with the premium package. The options include leather seats with driver's side memory seat, power passenger seat, two built in child safety booster seats, Homelink, autodimming mirrors, power sunroof, AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo, dual zone automatic climate control including rear air vents, front and rear side airbags, trip computer, steering wheel controls, and much more. The V70 XC is powered by the efficient and powerful 2.4 liter turbocharged 5 cylinder engine. Power goes to the wheels through a smooth as silk 5 speed geartronic automatic transmission with manual shift mode. With the fuel mileage of a sedan (25-27 mpg highway) and the capability of an SUV this vehicle is a good choice.
History
This is a two owner vehicle that was manufactured in January of 2002 and first registered in August of 2002 as a leased vehicle in the state of South Carolina. Three years later it was turned in off lease and sold by a Volvo dealership in North Carolina to a family in Virginia. It has been registered in the state of Virginia ever since. It was recently traded at our dealership on a newer minivan. This vehicle has been very well maintained by the previous owners. This car has never been in any accidents and has a clear and clean title history with no problems to report.
Mechanical
This Volvo is in great shape mechanically. It runs and drives just like it should- smooth and quiet. Everything works properly. The engine runs smooth and strong. The transmission shifts smooth and crisp with no slipping or hesitation. The matching Bridgestone tires have about 30-40% tread left. I thought about putting new tires on it but the tires are too good to throw away. If you want a new set of tires I can get them for you for about $500. The brakes are nearly new on the front and about 70% on the rear and stop this car firmly without pulling or vibration. The air conditioning blows ice cold. The underside of the car is clean and dry with no leaks or rust. The engine is very clean inside with no signs of sludge or other problems. The previous owner had the timing belt changed when he bought the car in 2005 so you might want to consider having it done sometime in the next year. If you want us to, we can do this service in our shop for $550 including new water pump, tensioner, idler pulley, timing belt and serpentine belt. This Volvo has just been serviced with new synthetic oil and filter, and transmission fluid change along with new spark plugs and ball joints. It has also been Virginia State inspected by an independent mechanic. It is ready to drive anywhere.
Exterior
The exterior of this car is smooth and mirror shiny as you can see from the pictures. It is finished in Ash Gold Metallic Paint. There are a few very minor cosmetic imperfections such as a couple almost imperceptible dings in the hood and maybe one or two in one of the doors, but other than that, this car looks like a new one with no scratches or other damage. The wheels are in good shape as well. I would rate the exterior a 9 out 10
Interior
The interior of this Volvo Cross Country is very nice as well. The seats and carpet are clean and free of stains. There is no smoke or other offensive odors. The front seats do show just a little bit of wear but it is in above average condition for a car with this age and mileage. Everything works like it should. This car comes with two keyless entry remotes and two keys. Also included are the owners manuals and the full set of factory floor mats along with the spare tire and tools. The cargo area is clean. I would rate the interior an 8.5 out of 10.

Honesty and integrity are very important to us. You are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle in person before the close of the auction, or have an inspection service to do it for you.
