I am by no means a mechanic, but I'll try to answer any questions you have as best as possible. The work that needs to be done (that I know of) includes the following: 1)The passenger side door support (gas strut and base joint link point), 2) The driver seat upholstery has a rip (needs to be restiched or replaced), 3) Front trunk release handle (needs to be replaced) 4) The air conditioner works (squeals a little at settings 3 & 4) 5) The electronics need replacement work or fixing (specifically the speedo, fuel guage) 6) The clutch (the hydraulics or throw-out bearing, or the clutch plate itself). As far as I know that's it - I know that sounds like alot, but really, most of the work is only in 3 areas, the clutch, electrics, and the trunk release. Other than that, its drivable (drove it during September, October, November 2010) I think a fair price is $10K, because it needs about $2K worth of work/parts to get it in top shape. It suffers from the "eyelid syndrome" which occurs on all DeLoreans with old fascias (so I've been told anyway)....the cost of a complete fascia is around $1K in parts, so if you want to replace that, that's what it would cost.... Any other issues, please bring them to my attention and I'll try to address them on this page as quickly as possibleOn Mar-02-11 at 15:31:43 PST, seller added the following information: Also, people have been asking about pictures of the chassis/engine...unfortunately I did not think while taking this pictures about the mechanics, all I thought to take pictures of was the outside and the body....all that stainless steel got the best of me As far as I can remember, the chassis was in good shape, not excellent, but good. I don't recall seeing rust on the underbody, but I do remeber paint coming off in some areas near the rear wheels. But that's about it. Also, another user addressed the interior of the car, specifically the panels behind the doors and seats. All the materials are present behind the seats, including the battery covers and carpeting.
