Vehicle Detail

1993 Dodge W250 LE 5 Speed for Sale! Up for auction is my fully loaded 1993 W250 LE Club Cab 5 Speed with 75k original documented miles. I am the 2nd owner and have all documentation carried over from the late original owner. (See pic) There are dealer records and maintenance logs dating back to the purchase date in March of 1993. Overview/Vehicle History: This vehicle is a top of the line fully loaded LE W250 5 Speed With Power Everything/AC/Cruise Control AND Factory Tachometer!!! This was the best 3/4 ton truck you could buy in 1993! The truck had been repainted by the original owner and shines very nice, and a spray in bedliner was added during that time as well. This is a great example of this era vehicle (the best I've seen) however it is not brand new! It has been doing work steadily over the years whether it was hauling the camper, towing or road tripping. There are scratches and small chips in the paint along with some damage from a tire blowout behind the passenger front fender. (The OEM tires were then replaced in 2000. The vehicle had only ~35K miles and the tires still had tread but failed due to age!) The damage is minimal and unless you were under the chassis inspecting it is not noticeable. I purchased the vehicle without a tailgate however it is off of a 92/93 Dodge with the same factory paint to match! (thanks to Joe from Mopartruckparts.com) It isn't in as good of shape as the rest of the vehicle but it is still very presentable! The Getrag 5 speed shifter knob is like new as is the stick and most every other Driver / Passenger interface. Gear Ratio for the low mile stock original D60F/D70 axle combo is 3.54 with a stock original limited slip "Power Lok" in the rear. This vehicle has extremely low highway only miles and low overall hours and it shows in every aspect! It was set up for a lance camper and used for travel only - not stop and go daily driving. It has always been well cared for and adult driven. Strict maintenance has been adhered to it's whole life per the 1993 Factory Service Manual which is included. Engine: The Cummins Turbo Diesel in this W250 is the nicest original both visually and aurally I have ever seen or head. The factory Paint is still intact over 95% of the motor. The injection pump is NOT adjusted/tweaked/turned up. Even the Injector Line Nuts still have original paint 100% intact! The entire engine bay is immaculate. Almost everything is stock original except for the Low Pressure Piston Style Lift Pump, Engine Oil and Filters! (Fuel /Oil and Air) The Previous owner installed a Banks Big Head Wastegated 14CM turbo hot side Housing and a Banks 3-3.5" exhaust system. (It enlarges to 3.5" after the muffler) This work is documented with invoices/manuals and was performed by a reputable shop to the tune of around $2500 back in 1999 when the truck had around 30K original miles. A Exhaust Gas Temp pyrometer and Boost Gauge were installed at this time as well. (Currently the truck has a 3 gauge pod of DiPricol Gauges Pyro/Boost/Trans Temp) All in all, this is the smoothest running best sounding quietest Cummins motor I have ever seen or heard. (And I have been around many) Drivetrain: The whole truck is stock for the most part aside from these mods: - Flywheel bored for input shaft ball bearing (replacement for bronze bushing - Quad 4x4 PN QU51010 HD ) - New Throwout bearing (while it was apart just because) - New Cummins Sourced Rear Main seal (while it was apart just because) - Low Pressure Piston Style Lift Pump Kit from Cummins West. (Replaces inferior Diaphragm style Stock Lift Pump) - New Rear Output Seal for Transfer case. (was leaking- Quad 4x4 PN TK50092-2 Double Rear Output Seal Kit) - Steering box brace for durability (bolt in mopar brace found on some ram chargers) - Getrag Transmission Coolers with Temp Probe. (these bolt on in place of pto covers and increase the fluid capacity) Axles have a fresh gear oil change @ 50,000 Miles per the FSM. Brakes good. Stock Size 235/85 R16 Firestone Commercial Load range "E" Tires Acceptable but have ~ 40% left. They have worn smooth and have been recently balanced. Interior: The interior on this vehicle is nearly immaculate! There are a couple of small holes in the driver seat cushion. Other than that as you can see in the pictures the carpet, headliner and seats are good. I doubt the rear seats have ever been sat in. The passenger seat is still hard as a rock! The Shifter knobs have all the original texture and feel of soft rubber - not like hard plastic. The shifter Stick has NO paint wear!!! This is amazing for an original shifter. It was cruising on the highway in 5th Gear for most of it's 75K miles! Exterior: The Paint Job is excellent. It appears to be a high quality real paint job. The bedsides do have some slight damage from camper hold downs around and in the stake pockets. But as you can see in the pictures it is barely noticeable and probably not even worth mentioning. This truck looks amazing all around. My friend with the local mopar club has been trying to get me to bring it to their annual show n shine! Gripes: - The ABS light comes on periodically at high speeds in excess of 75+ MPH for extended periods of time. (Common with these trucks. Options in addition to T/S and repair are to bypass ABS system or unplug the ABS box behind the glove box) - The Passenger Door lock Electric switch is intermittent. (passenger door Window switch works good) Extras: Also included is the original owner's manual Etc + a factory 1993 FSM. I do have some other spare parts that will be discussed with the winning bidder. All maintenance records from 1993 to the present are included! These include some very interesting dealership invoices from 1993 like: "Cassette player skips while traveling on bumpy road". This was great news to read! You can tell that the original owner was very picky and took great care of his vehicles! There are notes and highlights he made in the FSM while studying it! He even Added in his owner installed wiring for custom Ammeter installation! Bottom Line: This is the closest you can get to a brand new original truck. The doors are in perfect alignment and close firmly. The hood is in perfect alignment and closes snug with a snap. The trans is so tight I had to get out and check if it was an NV4500 during the test drive when I bought it 2 years ago! The engine is a perfect example. The passenger Seat is still not even broken in. Please only bid if you are SERIOUS and CAPABLE of paying! If you have (0) Feedback contact be first! Leave your phone number and I will call you back. I can take more pictures or make video of the truck if the buyer is serious..... Title Clean and Clear in my name ready to transfer to the new owner once all funds clear. No Reserve. Bid to win. I will chat on the phone with any serious enthusiasts that need to go into a high high level of detail with this truck. Message me with a return # and I will call you. On Mar-01-11 at 10:09:34 PST, seller added the following information: To Address some questions: I added a few pictures of the bed/cab, Roof and Front Grill. No rust on the vehicle body anywhere. It is a Club Cab Long Bed 4x4. Title clean and clear in my name in hand with current California Registration and Insurance. On Mar-02-11 at 08:11:25 PST, seller added the following information: There was a request to have a close up shot of the speedometer showing miles. I have posted it it here: http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w183/papecat/P1010074sm.jpg?t=1299082166 On Mar-05-11 at 19:25:34 PST, seller added the following information: Greetings all, I fielded a number of calls and emails today - thank you all for your interest. There were a couple questions asked that I would like to update the auction about - 1.) There was a question about proof of the odometer working. When I purchased the truck in June of 2009 it had about 55K miles. ALL mileage has been captured by this original speedo/odometer head - and the pictures tell the proof that this is in fact a low hours low miles vehicle! Bid with confidence the miles are true and ACTUAL. Here is a picture of the odometer back in the summer of '09 when I bought the truck. It proves that the mileage has in fact moved up to the 75,xxx it is at today. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w183/papecat/speedonew.jpg?t=1299380960 2.) There was a request for video of the vehicle starting and running. I have posted a video below with the start/run + a walk around of the vehicle: http://s176.photobucket.com/albums/w183/papecat/?action=view¤t=1993dodge.mp4
