Vehicle Detail
Here for your consideration is a 1967 Ford Mustang fastback. This is a running and driving car. It is equipped with the factory "A" code 289 4V engine and manual 3-speed transmission. When I got this car it had been sitting in a garage for several years. It still has what's left of it's original exhaust. The interior is all original and in good shape for it's age. To get the car running and driving, I replaced the radiator with a new one as well as correct radiators hoses and clamps. I also replaced the battery cables, starter solenoid, voltage regulator, rear wheel cylinders and a couple of brake hoses. The engine runs incredibly well with no smoke, rattles or knocks. the clutch is very smooth and all gears in the transmission are working properly. The brakes are all working as theyshould. It currently has a Holley 600 cfm carb on it, but I have the original autolite 4300 carb that came on it originally. I have driven it around the property hear, but not on the highway due to a worn out right rear tire. Imagine that! This car needs typical rust repairs made that are common to most Mustangs. There have been some patch panels put in the car and primed. this is an original Candy Apple red car with black standard interior. The interior is surprisingly nice for it's age and has never been replaced. I think the upholstery would be fine as is for a driver, but if building a showcar, you would probably replace it. This is a Mustang fastbck in need of restoration, but is highly desireable with it's engine/trans combo and the fact that it is a factory red/black car. It is also a car that with little work you could drive regularly while you restore it. There are no mechanical surprises here! Buyer is responsible for transporting this car. It is sold as is and I reserve the right to end this auction early in the event of a local sale. Thanks for looking and good luck.
