**NOW LISTED WITH NO RESERVE _ SO DON'T MISS! - This 1965 Mercedes Benz 220SE coupe is a solid, reliable vehicle, with factory four speed floor shift, European headlight trim, and original factory sunroof. The pale cream exterior is entirely rust free, but shows signs of having been partially repainted. (The trunk lid appears to be slightly more faded than the rear quarter panels, for example). However, there is no evidence of body work. All bright work is sound and undamaged, both inside and out, and all instruments seem to work reliably. Good rubber, glass, headliner, and interior door panels, as well as a cavernous and clean trunk compartment. The engine compartment is also very clean and original, and this handsome coupe (which is fuel injected) runs and handles very well. Recently inspected and serviced, too, with spare lens cover, wheel cover, etc. The front faces of both front seats (factory blue) are torn and cracked and should be replaced. Rear seat upholstery faces are also tired, but serviceable. The wood dash trim needs to be refinished along the windshield base and over the instrument cluster. The carpets are original and adequate for an everyday driver, but really ought to be replaced, as well. Has been inspected at the end of Jan. 2011 thru Jan. 2012. Odometer reads 77,000, but not sure if that is correct. Overall, this 220SE is a strikingly beautiful European-delivery classic. At speed, it is quiet, stable, and quite responsive through the gears.
