1967 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper (Walk-thru). Daily Driver. The van is pretty complete. Let’s start first with what needs repair. The Bad. Fuel gauge always reads “empty”. The sending unit in tank was replaced to no avail. Passenger-side windshield wiper has an issue, it still works but it is sometimes temperamental. The ice box is missing. On the pull-out bed, one of the door hinges needs some attention. The horn is not working. And now, The Good. The front-end was rebuilt, including new brakes. Engine and tranny rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago, as well as rear reduction gears. Most of the window rubber seals are new. New canvas, screens and latches on the pop top. New front tires. Components installed: new starter, alternator, distributor, fuel pump and sending unit, and clutch. All work has been done within the last 10,000 miles. The van is pretty complete and is very drivable, though it does have rust and needs some metal work, as you can see in the pictures. And, I have the rear bumper.
