For sale is a 1974 Porsche 914 2.0 Liter. The car is in very good shape. It is not perfect due to it being almost 40 years old. The previous owner had not driven the car in awhile, but had some work done to it before storing it. It sat for approximately 2 years. The engine was rebuilt at that time, so it has virtually no miles on it after the rebuild. True mileage is unknown. The usual rust spot for these cars is the battery tray. That rusted but the body under the tray is mostly intact. The battery was moved to the trunk. The fuel pump was relocated inside the engine bay and some of the fuel lines have been replaced with braided lines. There is new heat shield material on the firewall and the engine bay was painted. I replaced the starter and solenoid and installed a hot start kit. I also installed new shift bushings. It shifts very good while driving. The heat converters and exhaust are intact. The interior is in very good shape. There is the crack in the center of the dash. The car has the optional center console with gauges. The original radio is intact. There is also the a/c console, but no compressor or cooler hooked up. The hard top is in excellent shape. There are new door weather seals, but the remaining weather seals do need to be replaced, but the car comes with a cover. The body has very little rust. No major spots that I can see. Some little spots here and there. The vinyl on the exterior is new. The car will need to be repainted. Only dent is on the rear bumper. The previous owner backed into something. The windshield has crack down its center. I drove the car last in the fall, but at that time it would not start anymore. The car makes a spark and the engine turns over fine. The engine will run if fuel is put in the intake. I believe it may be that the fuel pump is not working properly. All of the other electrical parts work as they should. Overall, this car is not a parts car and it can be driven with a little work. It should be used as a base to be rebuilt or fixed up a little and it is ready to drive. I have some extra parts and some manuals and paperwork. The title is clear. The car has to be picked up or transport arranged by the buyer.
