I AM SELLING MY 1993 FORD RANGER SPLASH with a V8!! The Ranger was a 6-cylinder, 5-speed stick. I had local shops rebuild and install a 1969 Ford 302 V8 4bbl. and 3-speed auto using all the correct conversion parts from Ford, Summit Racing and other sources. I have the receipts for the work done. The 3" body lift was already on the truck when I bought it. Looks to be done right! I am using it as a daily driver and just had the oil changed, front end aligned and the A/C charged just THIS WEEK (2/18)!! There is NO rust to concern anyone on this truck! The paint and body shows it's 17+ years in the Florida sun...fade and the typical parking lot chips and dings but there is no major damage anywhere. The truck has a NEW (rebuilt) motor and trans with high performance parts like headers a Edelbrock 600cfm 4-barrel. , MSD ignition and new cam, pistons etc. There is a new 390 V8 aluminum radiator installed, B&M shifter, Cooper tires, Herculiner, JVC stereo with aux input, new window tint and much more. The motor and trans have approx 900 miles on them and the oil was just changed after the break-in period. The Ranger is ready (and is currently used) for daily use but needs YOUR finishing touches. A paint job might be desired but NOT NEEDED right away. Maybe you want a different intake than the Ford factory aluminum I have on it, and so on. But as is, it only needs gas and YOU to drive it along. NO KNOWN PROBLEMS OTHERWISE!! No warranty/guarantee. Serious buyers only. No free joy rides. The truck body has approx. 170k miles on it and has been serviced/repaired all during it's like with me AND especially because I was adding over $3000 in new drive train. The original 3:08 rear end is in the truck. Since the original could handle the V6 previously in the truck, I left the rear as-is, never intending to thrash the vehicle about! I bought the motor/trans combo out of a 1969 Galaxie. The matched pair was rebuilt totally! I have receipts for over $2000 in just the motor rebuild alone and there was much, much more in other items and additions like the GT40 heads, aluminum Ford intake, MSD ignition and so on...all the way down to the new/rebuilt Edelbrock 600cfm carb I just had installed yesterday (2/25/2011)!! I'm STILL having fun with this truck and it's throaty exhaust and all around power makes the Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers do a double take as I rumble on by! The mild cam sounds about right but, like I said above, if you get the truck you'll want YOUR touches and upgrades to make it complete! I am NOT hurried to sell. I will take my time and just keep the truck for my own if it doesn't sell. I won't give it away and if you do the math for the cost of a core truck, motor/trans with complete rebuild, new tires and wheels all scheduled services and more you can easily see you're getting MORE truck for way less $$$.
