Extremely rare 1991 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe with less than 72,000-miles!! Selling on behalf of original owner! This is your opportunity to buy one on the rarest Cadillac coupes available in the USA today. My colleague at work has had the pleasure of owning this coupe since new almost twenty years ago. In their time of ownership the car has wanted for nothing! All services and maintenance was performed as soon as necessary. At present the car sees very limited use and rather than it sit idly in their air conditioned garage, they’d rather pass the coupe onto someone who will use it on a more regular basis, or continue to cherish the car as they have. Since new the owners have continued a program not of restoration, but of life preservation. Any car that is almost twenty years old should have undergone a program to replace many of the components that are subject to wear or age. If the owner has not started this work - then please know that you will. In the section below we have listed the very few known areas that require work - other than our truthful description of these items, the car is in excellent mechanical order. When bidding you should bear in this car is sold ‘as-is’ and your perceived value of the car takes into account the minor repairs. We believe this car is presented as a a highly desirable collectable Eldorado for your collection and enjoyment. Mechanical condition Whenever this car has needed work it was performed by Cadillac main dealers (in Oklahoma and Houston) and specialized independent mechanics. However, in the spirit of full disclosure, as a 19-year old car the following items need attention in the near future – 1. The A/C is extremely cold but there is a leak in the compressor front seal. As such the coolant does not last very long. It may be possible to remove and reseal the compressor – if not a new or reconditioned one is required. 2. The radio and cruise control are temperamental and should therefore be considered non-operational. At present, with exception of the above, the owners are up to date with all mechanical work and, barring the unexpected; do not anticipate any further near term service work. The car starts without pause, provides a very comfortable drive, brakes straight and without any fade or shudder. Recent mechanical work completed includes new shocks, belts and pulleys in 2009. NOTE: When previously listed (in January 2011) the car needed new fuel injectors. The owner has now replaced the defective fuel injectors at a cost of $1,000 and the car now runs very smoothly. In addition the car passed the State Inspection with some of the lowest CO2 and emission results the test station has ever seen for a 1991 Eldorado. The next owner can take comfort in knowing this is an very, very, well maintained car!!! Exterior When not in use the car always remains in the garage and has never seen a smoker inside! No car is perfect and this coupe includes several small scratches (driver’s door has a couple of small door dings), stone chips and touch ups that are visible. The driver’s door trim molding is loose. The exterior paint is original and is in excellent condition. The attached photos show a very high gloss finish without any color fade. The white top is also in excellent condition with no color fade visible. The car received very slight damage during a rear-end bump in 2004 (so slight it does not show on the AutoCheck). The panel work, smoothing and paint were performed to a high degree of competency by Cadillac and the results are excellent. All other panels are original and in very good condition. We recently inspected the car and can find no apparent signs of rust (hardly surprising in the dry Texas climate!) Interior The interior of the car is in extremely good condition and as such it remains completely original. No squeaks or creaks from the interior trim! The only minor blemishes are a small split in the driver’s seat cushion (visible in one of the photos), a small amount of discoloration on the driver’s side carpet (not too surprising given the age) and the glove box lid has faded (again as seen in the attached photos). The interior is otherwise in excellent condition, all chrome is bright and shiny and all electrical items (except the radio) are fully operational. The owner has the original books and window sticker! Bid with confidence as I plan to keep my 100% feedback rating for a long time! Note: You are welcome to pay for an inspection or view the car in Houston before the auction ends (the car is located near Lakewood Church). If you send an inspector and the car is not as described above, we will refund up to $200 of your inspection fee. Payment - $200 deposit is by PayPal only! Remainder of the fee is payable within seven days by wire transfer, verified bankers check, or approved finance company check (Capital One check or similar). Due to the time sensitive nature of these auctions, deposit is needed within 48-hours after end of auction, otherwise I will automatically offer to the next highest bidder. Shipping and overseas bidders - I will gladly help with any paperwork you require for shipment of this car overseas. Please note that all costs associated with export of the car, or indeed transport of the car within the USA, are buyers responsibility.
