1956 Ford F100 truck show condition and excellent mechanics The current owner has had this nicely maintained Porsche light green vehicle more than forty years. The husband and wife dearly loved this truck and were often referred to as "Mr./Mrs.Clean" which is a good way to describe this popular F100. It has been a winner at many car shows and the buyers can have them if desired. There is a custom truck cover and of course an owner’s manual in the glove box. The paint and body are in pristine condition having no dents, dings or scratches. This is a recent professional paint job that was not cheap as the proud owners only purchased "First Class". The tires are almost new except for the spare. The wood bed is beautiful as it obviously has never hauled anything. All window glass is excellent. The interior is very clean and appears to have been redone a short time hence. There is an overdrive powered by a 292 stock Ford V8 engine that is in excellent shape. No smoke or oil leaks were noticed. The self energizing brakes stop very well. It drives down the parkway with ease and comfort. There is a manual column shift transmission. The radio antenna has been broken off at a car show so I could not test the radio which happens to be under the seat and has external speakers. The truck has a heater on the passenger side firewall. This machine is in very fine mechanical condition and can driven anywhere the driver cares to roam It has an added on water temp and oil pressure gauges. The tube shocks appear to have been recently replaced. It is equipped with special stock cast iron headers from another Ford vehicle There are cool sounding dual pipes with powerfull sounding Smitty mufflers. It has lap type seat belts. Any mechanical work performed on this vehicle has always been done by professional Ford expert mechanics specializing in this vintage vehicle. A right window door handle needs a correct set screw to hold it in place better. The undercarriage is very clean like a low mileage California vehicle normally is. It is currently registered through February 2012 in California. A 56 Ford F100 with this type of care, appearance and performance is a rare item to find.
