Up for sale is the classic body styling of the Jaguar XJ8L - 1999 with only 58k on the engine. We are the 2nd owner. The high bidder for this car that closed last Thursday @ $3,501 only had $1,500 to pay me and wanted me to finance my title at a pawn shop to get paid!! I'm not a bank and I don't finance cars - please only bid if you can pay for and pick up the car in 7 days - I'm moving to Florida next weekend. Priced below Kelly Blue Book value of $5,400. The car is inspected through August 2011 in Virginia. This is the L model, which is 4 inches longer. We purchased it in 2002 with 21,000 miles as a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) car for $45,000. It chassis has 120,000 miles on it. In April 2005, the engine was replaced by the local Jaguar dealer, under full warranty, when it had 62,000 miles on it, as coolant had leaked into the head gasket. In addition, when the engine was replaced, they replaced the following: chain tensioners and guides, water pump, gaskets, spark plugs, engine mounts, drive belt, heater hoses, etc. New engine has 58k on it. Everything works, except the cigarette lighter. A low coolant message is displayed upon start but the coolant is always full, so I simply clear the code. The body has a small ding in the front left quarter panel and two scratches on the left rear door. I've been quoted $300 to repair both. The drivers side door panel is ajar from the plastic clips (may need new clips to secure properly). The center front console that holds two cups is broken. The console opens and shuts but cups cannot be stored. It's large, classy and luxurious, yet sporty with a V8 engine and gets from zero to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds. The cars provides cold air conditioning and hot heat, cruise control, leather seats, power steering, AM/FM Cassette Stereo with multi-CD changer in trunk, dual power seats, power windows, electric sun roof, power door locks, dual air bags, alloy wheels, telescoping wheel and ABS (4-Wheel), etc. Last spring, I had new front brake rotors, calipers and pads installed. The front ball joints were replaced in August. The car also has excellent tread remaining on the Pirelli tires. Expect 18 MPG in the city and 22+ on the highway. It looks great and is very dependable. I'm selling as it was my wife's - she now has a SUV - we have six cars and we're moving out of state.
