Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1988 Honda Shadow 600 VLX. When i bought it, it did not run, i had to rebuilt the carbs(several times to get it right), and made sure it was rideable. Got that done...and proceeded to cut it up. I cut the rear rams horn off, made a rigid bar for it instead of the rear shock, welded on a springer style seat, and welded on the mount for a flat fender. also...made sissy bar for it, Then...it needed bars, i made up some adapters on the front to use the rubber busings with American style risers and Z-Bars painted to match...modified a harley throttle control for it and put the bars back together. The wiring has been modified to not need the handlebar switches anymore. There is a new start switch hidden on the side, and you turn off the key to turn off the bike. The signals have all been removed, although the wiring has not been damaged, so you could reinstall handlebar switches and the stock turnsignals if you needed or wanted to. I had custom braided stainless throttle cable and clutch cables made for the bike that are 6 inches longer than stock. The front brakes are removed, and are included in case you would like to use them...but the bike looks much better without them....as of now...i still have not removed the front rotor. I made some custom billet end caps for the pipes so they will not look cut....but they are cut stock pipes. The tires are in good shape and hold air, but are older, i like the look of the old tires, so i left them...you will have to be the judge if they are good for you. What you see is what you get. The frame is stock blue with a few places colormatched where i cut and welded. The rear fender and bars are also matched as well as i could without repainting the whole bike.. There is a iron cross taillamp mounted to the sissy bar, but no mount for the license plate. if you have any questions about the bike...feel free to ask... or there are many pics of it on my site...you can look there. http://cheapchopperz.com/honda_bobber_VLX600_5.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2UHN_x2tvI The bike is for sale locally as well. When i bought the bike it was a lien sale....so i have lien sale paperwork on the bike, along with a bill of sale from me to you. If you are local, come by and kick the tires and take it for a ride...etc, or send someone to see it. the bike starts right up and runs great. Will make a great bike for the summer or commuting. No Reserve...Good Luck. Lastly... im not in the business of shipping motorcycles. I dont know the prices or costs involved...That being said, i will be happy to help by meeting with a delivery company and helping out or loading but all the arrangements must be made by you, and the full payment must have cleared my bank previous to anything being picked up from here. andy
