Up for bid, one V8 Chevy powered 1968 Chevy Corvair Monza coupe. This Corvair was disassembled to a gutted shell and completely rebuilt from the ground up. I'm listing this car for a friend of mine and he is also the builder. His name is George and he can be reached at 908-459-9016. Please direct all inquiries to George. The following are the details: Body details ) The body was stripped to bare metal and repainted in cream acrylic enamel. The chrome including the bumpers, handles, and emblems were replaced with new parts. All the stainless trim was polished. Most of the aluminum trim was replaced. The windshield was also replaced. Interior details ) The black interior is very nice and is mostly original. The carpet, headliner, rear seat and door sill plates were replaced. Mechanical details ) The motor is a 1986 305 and the transmission is Cadillac Eldorado ( turbo 400 ) automatic. New parts on the motor include: Intake manifold, 600 Edlebrock carb, mini starter, distributor, alt. and battery. The custom headers are owner fabricated. The wheels are American Racing custom shop Mini Lites. The tires are Yokahama 205-60-15. The brake system is stock and has been completely replaced.
