Vehicle Detail
Wrecked BMW X5 ready for easy rebuild. This 2000 model top of the line SUV was wrecked back in 2000 and has less than 10,000 original miles. The hard part of the rebuild has already been professionally done with new front unibody horns installed on a factory jig-bench and new subframe/crossmember installed carrying front suspension. All that is needed now are a few parts and re-assembly. What I know is still needed is a hood, a passenger side fender, headlights, radiator support, radiator and AC condenser, front seats and catalytic converter. I am sure some other misc stuff like hoses, weather strip, etc. are also needed but I think I have captured the major items.. This vehicle is decked out and fully loaded with electric everything, sunroof, luggage rack, sport rims, V8 (4.4L) power and AWD. Also included is a factory X5 parts manual. As seen in the pictures, the engine, transmission and transfer case are complete, assembled and have been stored indoors throughout. I bought this vehicle basically as is last year with every intention of building for my wife to replace her 2002 Durango, which although newer, has over 200,000 miles on it and is not as nice a vehicle as this BMW. We sealed the welded seams from the unibody repairs and painted these components with POR15 and installed the new subframe to the front suspension. My wife recently had a stroke and now cannot drive, so the X5 project needs a new home. The opening price is less than I have in it and less than I have seen just one of these engines sell for. To be clear, I never drove the car (nor did the shop I bought it from) and I cannot make any claims as to condition of drivetrain or what, if anything else, may still be needed to complete. All of the parts in the pictures are included. The rest of body is in good condition. Everything looks to be in good shape. I have a BOS and a Louisiana salvage title. This sale is as-is where-is. and will need to be picked up from the New Orleans area. If desired, I can possibly deliver for a fee. There is no reserve.
