This Practical and Economical 4 Door Sedan recently traded into us on the purchase of a new car. Since we traded it in, it has been a super reliable and dependable mode of transportation. Great 28-35 Miles Per Gallon, Fun To Drive Automatic Transmission, Ice Cold Air Conditioning, Great Heat, Power Options and More! When we got this car we took it to the shop. We had a VA State safety inspection performed, which it passed and is valid until 12-2011. We did have a few repairs performed at the ecommendation of our shop. We had 2 brand new tires installed on the front. The rear tires were, in their words, like brand new so we did not waste good tires. We had a thermostat installed. he existing one was performing fine, but our mechanic recommended it as part of routine maintenance. They said this is a common issue on these cars and for less than $100 we should go ahead and have it done, so we did. Finally, we had a turn signal light bulb replaced. All in all, less than $300 in repairs and this Dodge Neon had all the work done that our shop could recommend. So, this Sedan is ready to ride! I have been driving this car for about a week now, and let me say I am shocked at the overall performance. I had some reasonable reservations about driving this sedan given the year and miles. This Neon has exceeded my expectations. I has been extremely cold here recently, reaching near zero degrees with wind chill and this Neon has not failed me. It always starts right up, the heat warms up quickly, and it just gets where I want to go. I have not noticed any issues in the performance and have seen no indications that any further repairs are needed. I would personally hop in this Neon and take any reasonable road trip. Exterior: This Neon SE is Forest Green Pear Coat. I personally like a green car because this color really helps to hide flaws and is easy to match if you ever need touch up paint work. This is a very practical 4 Door Sedan that will seat 5 passengers. This Neon is riding on a set of 14 Factory Wheels with Aftermarket Wheel Covers, with Tires that New and just passed VA State Inspection! There is a spare tire mounted in the trunk. The spare is recess mounted so it does not take up any of the cargo space but is still easy to access. The outside of this Neon is Classic and Uncomplicated. The smooth clean lines add to the overall conservative appeal of this sedan. The right amount of upgrades make this car comfortable with out being complicated. This Mid Size Sedan has Molded Body Panels and Contoured Bumpers. The outside of this car has a more expensive appeal with sleek, solid green accents. Like an expensive luxury car, this Neon has body colored accents and panels. The lines and edges on this car are rounded and smooth. These smooth lines are more modern. You will find that outside features including exterior side view mirrors and window frames are in a coordinating black for a little extra appeal. The great part about black accents such as these is that if you ever need to replace any of them, it is cheaper since they don’t have to be painted to match any specific body color. The Body matching side moldings really set this car off!! There is a front license plate bracket. The front grill is stylish and classy, designed to be a fresh crosshair grille. Overall, the Exterior of this Neon is in an overall condition consistent with what I expect from a very affordable sedan. There are some usual door dings and minor scuffs, some typical road rash on the hood, and some wear and scuffs on the bumpers. You will find some dents beyond scuffs. There is a dent on the front driver side fender, lower part of the front driver door, and on the lower part of the passenger front door. There are a few door dings on both rear doors and fenders. There is a small chip near the driver side head light. All in all, these flaws are consistent with a very afford, practical, mechanically sound sedan. Thus we are selling this sedan as is to keep the price low for you! I would say the exterior is in slightly lower condition than I would expect for a 2000 model. However, I will also say that most of the flaws on this car are not noticeable until you are right up next to the car, and from a few feet away, it looks great. If your expectations are reasonable, you will love this Neon. You may find a door ding or two or a scuff or two not specifically mentioned that we may have innocently overlooked, but we have done our best to point out any flaws we found. As you can see in the pictures, the Exterior of this 2000 Neon is Sharp and Sporty! The exaggerated headlights, body matching moldings, subtle black accents, and more make this sedan Nice to look at and even nicer to ride in! Interior: The Interior of this Neon is Awesome! You will find the overall Interior of this Car to be in Better than Average Condition. The Inside of this car nicer than I would expect for a 2000 model car with these miles. The inside is certainly in much better condition than the outside. The seats are free from any rips or tears, the headliner is clean and smooth, there are no burn marks anywhere, the steering wheel is smooth and not cracked. Overall, a better than it should be affordable interior. The Interior of this Car is a primarily Black. The Carpets, Dash, Doors, Seats, and most of the interior is primarily Black. You will find accents on the Seat Patterns, Gray Headliner and gray upper door pillars. This combination of Gray and Black Interior looks great and will help to hide any minor stains for flaws. Seating: This Plymouth Neon Seats 5 Passengers. The seats are upholstered in gray, luxurious cloth. The seats are super comfortable. The Fabric itself is thick and soft and shows very little wear. The plush fabric is perfect this time of year. Even in the heat or cold, it never burns my legs and feels very comfortable to the skin. The seats are free from any significant tears, have no stains, and no burn marks. I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke and do not think anyone has every smoked in this car. The front seats are individual captain style seats with high back, contoured side bolsters, firm lower cushions and multi point adjustments. Both front seats are multi point adjustable. The seats are all firm and comfortable. I noticed the first time I drove this car how much this car sits like a full size sedan. Unlike a lot of other mid size sedans I have driven, this one is more comfortable. The seats have a nice high profile, no cramped feeling for any passengers. The size of the seats are plentiful offers a fuller seat. This means that the seats support more of your body, specifically your legs, reducing driver fatigue. This car has sharp and responsive handling, and the steering wheel a very comfortable and natural feel. Both front seats have adjustable height shoulder belts and two adjustable height head rests. The Rear is a Split Bench that seats 3 additional passengers. This rear seat will flip down in two sections for added rear cargo and hauling space. You can let large items slide through the trunk into the rear. You will find the same patterned fabric from the seat inserts on the door panels adding to the overall comfort and exotic appeal of the inside of this Neon. The Steering Wheel Itself is Black and in Great Condition. It is firm and smooth, and shows no wear from heat or sun (aka no cracking in the material.) There are Cruise Control Buttons on the Wheel, easy to use, easy in each, and the CC works perfectly. This Neon has a all the power upgrades you want. Power Options continue with the power windows in the front, and manual in the back, this is standard in a Neon. There are power door locks. You can lock or unlock all doors using the key in the driver door. I am pretty sure you can add a keyless entry fob to this sedan, too. There is a Factory Sound System. There is a factory cassette tape with am/fm radio. The radio sounds great. The Inside of this Neon Looks Great. This Sedan offers a Great Combination of Comfortable Sedan and Economy. There is a surprising amount of storage in this mid size car. The front dash offers tons of storage. There are two front storage cubbies integrated into the front dash. There are three cup holders around the gear shifter. The center console opens to reveal more storage space included molded slots for cassettes or cds. The top of the console cover flips open and folds back to reveal another cup holder for rear seat passengers and a tissue holder. For Increased Storage and Cargo Area, the rear Seats will Flip Down. This allows large items to slide from the trunk through into the rear seat area. This rear bench seat flips down in two sections so that you can have versatile and customized storage options. There is a Locking Glove box. Overhead, there are four passenger entry handles and two rear seat clothes hooks. Overall, the Interior is in Good Condition. The Dark Gray Sport cloth and coordinating carpet is a Great combination. There is a little area on the rear seat on the driver’s side but not big issue. There is very minimal, if any, wear and staining on the carpet and seats. Under The Hood: This Dodge Neon SE boosts a 132 Horse Power, 2.0 Liter I-4 Engine. The 122 cubic Inch Engine Displacement generates 132 HP at 5,600 rpm. Engine Torque is 130 lbs - ft. at 4,600 rpm.
