Vehicle Detail
1969 Ford Falcon with factory 302 V-8, C4 Automatic Transmission, and Power Steering. California car. Exterior: Nice body with very little rust. Has a dent on drivers door where wind blew it open and hit the fender. (Need to replace the little springs that hold the door stops.) A few other dings and scratches but nothing major. Chrome on bumpers has some light rust. May need to be replaces or re-chromed. Interior: Needs to be redone. It has some old Honda bucket seats in it right now. (It used to have a bench seat.) Back seat has been replaced and is in good shape. I have the door panels but they are out of car as I was going to replace window regulators. It never has had a carpet. It still has the original vinyl floor but it's cracked in spots so I was going to replace it with a molded carpet. It also need a new headliner. Drive train: Will start up and run but motor knocks. (I had just replaced the manifold gasket and it failed after a few days and got water in the oil. This caused a spun bearing.) It can be started and driven onto a car hauler. (I have another 302 that I will throw in for free if you want it.) Transmission is good but due for fluid & filter change. Other: Needs minor electrical. (Someone bypassed the neutral safety switch. Should be an easy to fix.) Has a Blaupunkt Stereo with CD player. I'm moving and I just don't have time to swap the motors or I'd keep it. This was the last full year for the Falcons. There are not many of these 2 doors left. I think most have been crushed. Under the skin, it's pretty much the same car as a '69 Mustang so it's easy to get parts. Payment. I will need $500 within 48 hours of auction and balance by either Cashier's Check (certified from US or Canadian bank), Money Order, or Cash (in person) within 7 days. Check or Money Order must clear before taking possession of vehicle. Shipping. You will have to arrange for transport since it can't be driven. I will work with you if you are out of state. On Feb-20-11 at 20:54:58 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked for pictures of the interior including floorboards and trunk. When I pulled out the floor mats I noticed there was a problem on the passenger side. I peeled back the rubber floor mat and found a hole rusted in the corner of the floor pan. (These are the same floor pans as the 69' Mustang and are easy to find.) The floor pan on the drivers side is rusty but still solid. The rear floor pans are fine. The trunk is also in good shape with just some light surface rust under the rubber mat. I am adding pictures to show the condition of these areas. If anyone needs more pictures please email me.
