Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1986 635 CSi. I also had a 1980 633 CSi that I sold three years ago. Great, fun and classic cars. This is a "very original" 635 and a great daily driver. I'm the third owner. Five-Speed. I'm been a BMW enthusiast, a BMW concours judge and a BMW club member for 30+ years. This is the best looking model BMW ever made. It's so sleek looking, it doesn't seen like it's eligible to be tagged as an antique/classic. Inspected in Virginia until Nov 2011. Upgraded ECU chip - 10% performance increase. This seems to draw down the battery, so if I'm not driving it for a week, I put a battery tenderer on it. I have the cables attached to the battery and run the connector through the grill. 14 Michelin tires on stock wheels. No dash cracks. Paint is original BMW Schwartz Black but looks great. The A/C and heater work well along with the windows and sunroof. Original BMW AM/FX/cassette radio. Minimal rust around rear arches has been treated. Since I purchased it in June 2009,I've replaced the following with new parts: Clutch kit, Front Rotors and Pads, Interstate Battery, Battery Cables, Starter, Hood and Trunk Roundels, Transmission fluid flushed and Coco Mats. Items not perfect but tolerable of a 25 year old car: The trunk lid won't stay open - left spring needs to be replaced. Slight rust around rear wheels has been treated with POR-15. The odometer stopped in Oct (I've kept a detailed log of how much gas I've purchased since then - less than 1,000 miles). The high-beam lights will intermittently pop-on when driving with the lights on (I've placed two quarters to keep the lights on low beam). The front part of the drivers seat slides sometimes but 95% of the time, it stays where I place it. The trunk and hood have several acorn dings from last fall but are difficult to see, unless you look for them. Partial tool kit. Why I'm selling? I own three other BMW's from the 70's. I'm selling another family car (1999 Jaguar XJ8L (also listed on ebay)), as we we're moving out of state. We'll still own four cars for two drivers. On Feb-18-11 at 14:32:43 PST, seller added the following information: My initial Reserve has been lowered. On Feb-19-11 at 14:37:27 PST, seller added the following information: All of the wheels are labeled as E22, amongst other numbering. On Feb-20-11 at 10:38:59 PST, seller added the following information: FYI - The Anti-Lock light has always been on (see photo that I just uploaded) since the purchased the car but the brakes are fine. Again, I replaced the front rotors and pads last year. Also, the inspection light has always been on as well on the dash, which I think has to be reset with a OBC tool (see photo that I just uploaded). I just took it out for a drive - too much fun and looks great. I will miss it, if the reserve is hit but I'll likely buy another one in Florida.
