Vehicle Detail
Trying one last time to sell a 1947 Chevy Fleetmaster street rod. I really do not want to sell this but we are moving and I need to get rid of some of my toys. The engine is a 400 SB chevy with 283 duration cam recently rebuilt by a professional machine shop. A little over 1000 miles on vehicle. It runs “incredible” and is incredibly fast also. I believe it was originally built and set up to drag race with. Front end is a Mustang II suspension in which the coils and shocks were replaced in to improve the ride. Has a Camaro Big disc brake kit with calipers and pads. Rear end is a Lincoln Continental and 9” disc brakes. It has a corvette power brake booster from Gearhead world. Rear tires are street legal Mickey Thompsons with very little wear. New wiring harness also from Gearhead world. Transmission is an automatic 78 chevy truck TH350. Has brand new vintage A/C and Heat unit installed. Inside has electric seats from a Pontiac Bonneville with new covers. Just completed the door panels, Floor has hush mat on bottom and thick hush mat insulating foam between new grey carpet. Has electric windows installed also from Gearhead world. Doors are new waterboard with foam insulation under. Also has keyless entry and shaved doors. Entire inside rustproofed with Eastwood and Por-15 prior to carpet, mats and seats. New JVC stereo and speakers set up for satellite radio. Has short pipe exhaust that has dual “cherry bombs” that sound INCREDIBLE. Has 19 gal fuel cell in trunk. I have the carpet to finish the trunk if you want it. I did find a set of original rear seats from a 47 fleetmaster that I have not got around recovering or putting in. Some adjustment will be needed since car was “tubbed” to fit the rear tires. The only things I have not got to is the rear seat and headliner but all else is completed. I have way more money in it then the buy it now price. (of course, anyone that has done this in the past knows that is the truth). Buyer is to arrange for shipping or pick up. I have many many pictures of the interior restoration if you are wanting to see. $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction close. Full Payment within 72 hours. Clear Title furnished after payment. Car is sold as is and I would encourage any or all inspections. See my feedback, bid with confidence. I do have a small video clip of the engine running if you send me your e-mail address. Clip was taken before all interior work. I am relisting this because of a buyer that did not come through. PLEASE do not bid if you have no intention to pay or follow through. Pictures show 2007 at the bottom of some, this is incorrect, when taking the pictures I forgot to set the date after putting in a new battery. Pictures are recent. A couple of them show the car setting lower. I replaced the front coil springs with the standard Mustang II to change the ride. I planned on cutting a coil out to get a certain ride but never got around to it. I figured whoever purchased the car can customize it as they like. There are a couple of pictures with the rollbar in place. This was removed when interior work was started. Original seller kept it. Thanks for looking.
