2000 Audi A6 Avant Quattro No Reserve!
This is a hard to find Audi A6 wagon with some cosmetic damage. You can use it for parts, fix it, or you could just drive it the way it is. But let me be very clear upfront. This car is an older car that has some significant body damage and a few other issues. We are selling it as-is where-is. We are also selling it no reserve which means that the high bidder at the end of the auction will be the next owner of this car. There are no other fees or taxes, what you bid is what you will pay. Don't wait till the last minute and be outbid.
I will describe the bad and then the good.
The Bad
Just about every panel on this car has some cosmetic damage. The worst is the right rear quarter panel that was side swiped while parked along a busy street. This damage has not affected the operation of the car and the rear door on that side still opens and closes fine. The front bumper is also loose and damaged along with lots of scratches and some dings everywhere else. I have taken pictures of most of the damage that is really obvious.
This car has some rust starting to show a few places on the body where it was previously repaired on the driver side front fender and the drivers side rear quarter panel in front of the rear wheel.
This car does have a very minor oil leak somewhere around the transmission.
The belly pan is missing as are the headlight washer nozzles in the front bumper and the rear wiper arm.
The driver side front suspension seems to have something just a little loose. The mechanic couldn't find anything loose but every now and then you hear a thunk when changing directions.
The instrument cluster display has the usual pixel problems in the center.
There might be some other minor issues that I haven't found out about but these are the ones I know about.
The Good
The interior of this car is in pretty good shape for its age and mileage. The driver seat shows some minor wear and the floor mats are a little worn. All the floor mats are present along with the owners manuals and two keys, but no remotes.
The car actually just passed the Virginia State Inspection which doesn't mean that it will pass every state's inspection but it does mean that all the lights work, the horn works, the exhaust doesn't leak, the wipers work, the tires, brakes, and steering are good, and the glass isn't cracked.
This car does run pretty good with no warning lights illuminated on the dash and no funny noises or vibrations.
The previous owner did spend a lot of money on mechanical maintenance over the years and the mechanical parts of this car seem to be in good condition for the age and mileage. The General Altimax tires are about 50% in the front and 75% in the rear.
The power options work well including the mirrors, windows, sunroof and power seats.
Again, this car is being sold As-Is. I can make no promises about this car except that it is an older car with lots of miles and some damage. I do know that the previous owner drove it about 300 miles to bring it to trade it in at my dealership. I don't know if you can drive it home without trouble or not. I have driven it about 90 miles myself and it seems to do fine.
