Vehicle Detail

Rare Classic 1952 Chrysler Windsor 4 door for sale. Only 16,112 of these made. This one is number 15843 out of the plant. Please look closely at all the pictures as a picture is worth a thousand words and I put 24 of them up. Any white spots you see in a picture is a rain drop on the camera's lense not a spot on the seat or spare tire or..... It was raining while I took the pictures and was a little tough keeping it dry. Only 6204 miles have been put on the car since 1993. The wife & I took a 100 mile drive in it yesterday (Feb 7th) & heads turned every where we went. Be prepared to be honked at and given the thumbs up sign every time you drive it. It starts right up and purrs and drives nicely. The carpet has been replaced, I believe in 93, as were the seat belts. (dated) The seats are in near perfect condition. They are very firm and no wearing anywhere, but there is a small cut in the back of the drivers seat area. There is also a small cut in the vinyl part of the dash over the glove box that has been "repaired" about a 1/2 inch long approximately. The head liner is in great condition. It is nice and tight but does show some small staining around the the edges. All the dash gauges work properly, including the speedometer and odometer, but the needle to the speedometer is laying inside. The mechanically inclined could easily repair it. The ash tray cover in the front dash is also broke. The pieces are in the glove box. Repair or easily replaced. The engine has the flat head 6 Spitfire motor. The running temperature shows right at the low end of normal. It has a 6 volt electrical system with a new battery in it and recent tune up. The oil pressure at running temperature, idling, is 50-55 lbs and stays there. It does have a exhaust leak up towards the front somewhere. It does not smoke out the exhaust. All the brakes work like new including the emrgency brake. The dome light turns on when opening the back doors but not the front for some reason. All the lights, including turn signals, brake and tail, and even the back up lights work perfectly. It has a climate control unit. (primitive a/c) The wide white wall classic looking tires are in like new condition with no visible wear and still collect a rock or two or three or more. Most of the chrome on the outside front of the car has pitting, but is all there and still very presentable. It has all the original emblems, but could use a new paint job to really make this car stand out. It has some superficial rust, but mostly just stains. There are no rusted out holes anywhere, just surface, mostly on the passenger side and front of vehicle. It has some scratches and small dings as expected for an old driver. Please see pics. All the glass is in perfect condition. No cracks or dings. The trunk is still in wonderful useable condition that does not leak and comes with a spare tire, jack and lug wrench. It also comes with two original antique Chrysler Shop Manuals and a antique advertisement/clothes hanger (please see pic) from Art Cleaners & Dyers from Boulder Co. in great condition. It is licensed until Apr 2011 and has a clear title. Drive it, restore it, or drive then restore or drive & restore, it's your choice. NADA values this car in average condition, or a "20 ft car" meaning it looks great from a distance of 20 ft. However, people are admiring this car and telling us how georgous it is while pulled up next to us. Here is NADA link to this car. http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1952/Chrysler/Windsor/4-Door-Sedan/Values You be the judge. I can email more pictures upon request. The car is being sold AS IS.
