Thanks for looking. First and foremost, This is an absolutely RUST FREE Z Car! It has been a southwestern desert car its' entire life. We started off with a nice,rust free body and chassis and progressed from that point forward. BODY: The entire body and jambs were stripped down to bare metal. All imperfect panels were completely metal worked to make them correct. Gaps and alignments were adjusted until they were correct. Side marker lights, body molding, emblems, scripts, bumper bracket holes were metal filled and welded closed (no fillers were used). Body was primered,long blocked 4 times with decreasing grits of paper. Body was primered a SECOND time and again long blocked 4 times with decreasing grits of paper. PAINT: All materials used from the primer up through the clear coat is from the Dupont Chroma-base line. Dupont Sealer was applied over the primer after final blocking. Paint color is Polar Effect a Base/clear Micro metallic (German color). Clear coat is Dupont Chroma Base. 5 coats of paint, nibb sanded between each coat. 5 coats of clear, Wet sanded 3 times to a final grit of 2000. COLOR: A very unique but very elegant hue. We have received many compliments on this color. In the shade or on an overcast day it can appear a bluish silver, charcoal gray. In the sunlight it seems to omit a bronzish hue over a mossy green. The paint mix included a lot of "flop control" agent. The color needs to be viewed in person to be appreciated. In one of the pictures is a REFLECTION of my hand from the lower section of the drivers door, you could literally read a book off this cars shine. EXTRAS: Those big heavy, gaudy, ugly front and rear bumpers and impact shocks were removed and discarded. All the bumper accessory holes were filled with metal and welded closed. A custom hand fabricated rear roll pan was built and installed. Rear T bar/bumpers reminiscent of old British race cars and Cobras were fabricated and installed in the factory bracket locations. A custom composite race front end was fabricated and installed. I was able to locate a 3 piece rear spoiler from an old IMSA race car and install it on the rear hatch. It is period perfect. DRIVETRAIN: Everything is stock except for the Stainless muffler. The previous owner rebuilt the engine at some point and it has approximately 75,000 miles. The car runs and drives superbly. The Z has the factory inline fuel injected 6 cylinder and 4 sped manual trans. Interior: Nice dash with a dash mat (the dash is in very good shape beneath the mat). We have average daily summer temps reaching 120 degrees. These hot temps destroy plastic and vinyl if not protected, so the dash mat keeps the dashboard from being destroyed by mother nature. All gauges work perfectly. The heat and A/c also work fine. The door panels, headliner and shifter boot are all newly upholstered. The interior also received new carpeting. The seats are brand new Twisted Stitch Suspension Seats (excellent comfort and support) We like the British sport car feel and removed this cars center console. It now a more authentic sports car vibe to it. This is a very nice looking and running Z car. These cars are getting very difficult to find in any condition, and even more difficult in as nice a shape as this. Good quality paint jobs (without body work) start at $6500 - $7500 at reputable shops. This Z has very high quality body finish and paintwork on it. My reserve is about what quality paint work costs, so the extras could be considered free! I am not including any shipping estimates as these arrangements and costs are the buyers responsibility. However,we will gladly work with the buyer and shipper in any manner that we can to make things as simple and painless for all involved parties. I will gladly keep the car stored safely in my garage for as long as is necessary at NO COST, so long as the car is paid for IN FULL once the auction ends. I can move the car to my shop when your shipper is ready to transport it. My shop is a commercial building with enough room for at least a dozen 18 wheelers!
