You are bidding on a original condition 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. No modifications from stock have been made to this car and it has always been adult owned. The car is maroon, with maroon interior. It has power windows, locks, tilt, cruise, rear window defrost, air cond, t-tops, posi, etc. I've used this car as a summer time nice driver and occasion take it to local cruise in & car show. Motor is the original 305ho and original transmission, car runs great and doesn't leak any fluids. All options work and the original radio is still in the car. Condition - I believe in being up front and telling the pros/cons of the car: Body - body is in great condition, none of the typical rust these cars get as the car has been garaged for several years. No frame rust, quarter rust or rust under the doors or trunklid, everything is solid including under the T-tops. Car was repainted several years ago in base/clear and looks nice, couple of minor door dings now. Someone bumped into the front bumper on the drivers corner and damaged the paint (no damage to the bumper cover itself), you don't notice it unless your right on the car. I've tried to take pics of it but it doesn't show. Rims are in above average condition and look good but the clear coat is starting to go as they do with them all. Mechanical - Car runs strong, I've not had any issues with it. The shocks are do to be replaced and the check engine light comes on from time to time, I ran the code and believe it is an 02 sensor, this doesn't effect how the car runs. Transmission works great, TCC solenoid has started to stick and probably is about do to be replaced, car upshifts and downshifts strong and quick. A/C worked last summer, it has been converted but I think it needs to be recharged. Cruise control, windows and everything else mechanical work great. Tires are good. Everything under the hood is stock. Interior - Interior has typical fading on the soft upholstery, no rips in the seats, I have replaced the carpet, headliner and package tray with correct color maroon. Dash is mint with no cracks, original radio still in its place, interior plastic is in nice condition, t-top bags are in the trunk. Things I have replaced in the last 2 years - new front brake pads, exhaust from the mufflers back (I kept it stock, sounds and looks great), new carpet, headliner & package tray. On Feb-06-11 at 19:02:19 PST, seller added the following information: I noticed there where reported two accidents and wanted to add clarification, the one in 2008 was when the bumper cover was damaged at a local parking lot and reported. The 1996 incident was when it was owned by a previous owner, the car was keyed and that is the reason for the repaint. To the best of my knowledge this car has never been in a major collision or had major body damage.
