Vehicle Detail
auction This 2007 BMW 335i coupe has under 27,000 miles on it. The exterior is Montego Blue with a Saddle Brown leather interior and black dashboard. It's been driven gently--almost embarrassingly so. I'm reluctant to see it go, but I have limited garage space and a new Aston Martin on the way, so something has to give. It's in excellent condition. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it mechanically, and all of the electronics and accessories are working flawlessly. It's still under warranty--only until the end of February, but at least you can be certain everything is working perfectly. It's never been in an accident. I did scrape the left front fender on a pipe in my garage once. That was repaired by a top-notch body shop, and it's completely perfect. The only exterior cosmetic flaws are some gouges on the rear bumper--apparently someone "kissed" it while parked. The body shop that did the fender painted it over--I didn't ask them to, since I didn't think it was necessary, but they did it as a courtesy. So, the paint is intact, but you can see some indentations when viewed from certain angles. The rest of the body is perfect. The interior looks essentially new, with no wear on the leather. I put custom Cocomats in the front for a classic look. I'm also including front and rear genuine BMW all-weather floor mats. I have every manual and brochure that came with it, as well as both keys and the original window sticker. If you want it, I also have the boxed DVD about BMW history that the dealer gave me when I bought the car (I never opened or watched it). The car was bought and always serviced at Fields BMW north of Chicago. I have all of the service records, documenting anything and everything that's ever been done to it. I've changed the oil yearly, even though BMW recommends only every 15,000 miles (I've averaged less than 7000 miles a year). It's rarely been driven in the snow, as I have an all-wheel-drive vehicle for that (although I did take it outside post-snowfall to snap the photos for the auction listing). I was not a fan of the original run-flat tires. I therefore replaced them with Yokohama Advan S4s, which are top-rated on Tire Rack as ultra-high performance all-season tires. They ride and handle great, and they have excellent tread left. This car has never had a fuel pump issue. There has been a recall, though, and I'm scheduled to take the car in next week to have the recall done, which involves replacing the high pressure fuel pump with an redesigned part, as well as updating the car's software. Again, this car has never had a problem, but this gives further reassurance. For even more peace of mind, BMW has extended the emissions warranty (which includes the high-pressure fuel pump) to 10 years or 120,000 miles. I'm also going to have the oil changed again next week, so all of the service will be completely up-to-date. The options and features of the car are: 6-speed manual transmission Sport package Sport seats 18 inch alloy wheels Premium package Leather upholstery Integrated garage door opener (Homelink) Auto-dimming rear-view mirrors Auto-dimming side mirrors Compass in rear view mirror Lumbar support BMW Assist Bluetooth integration for cellphone Navigation Comfort Access (lock/unlock the doors and start the car with the key in your pocket) Tire pressure monitor Sunroof Premium Sound--Logic 7 CD player Aux input for MP3, iPod, etc. Sirius satellite radio Dual-zone climate control Automatic headlights (xenon) iDrive with voice recognition
