I’m selling my 2000 BMW Z3. It has ~92k miles on the odometer. It has a 2.3L in line six cylinder engine with a five speed transmission. The 2.3L engine is great, because it performs very well and is easy to maintain, which is probably why BMW produced so many of them. The maintenance, including oil, has always been completed using BMW OEM parts. The exterior of the car is in very nice condition. The paint is very deep and maintains its deep shine. The BMW emblems are also very clear and clean, which are typically the first items to begin to show wear on BMWs. The wheels are the optional BMW M sport wheels, and they look much nicer than the standard BMW wheels. The convertible top is very nice for a roadster. It has the two layer power convertible top, so it is much more effective at reducing road noise while driving and is very easy to put up or down. The tires are Michelin tires, and they have good tread remaining. The interior is nice as well. The interior has the optional “James Bond” interior, which is the leopard spot leather pattern that I was told can be seen in the James Bond movie Golden Eye when James Bond drove a BMW Z3. The seat leather in this car is nice. Most Z3s have the bottom seat leather loose and stretched out, because those people do not take care of their cars. I have maintained the leather interior of this car with leather conditioner to prevent the stretching and dry cracks that most leather interiors experience. The passenger side key lock stopped working this weekend, but the doors can be locked from the other doors. I have not investigated the cause at this time. The dash has the optional wood grain dash, which is much more appealing than the standard black vinyl. The gear knob is a matching wood grain BMW M sport knob. The steering wheel is also an optional BMW M sport steering wheel that is much more comfortable than the base line steering wheel. The interior includes the optional breeze net between the seats to prevent back flow when the convertible top is down. I also have the BMW sun shade for the windshield to prevent the car from heating up during summer days and to protect the dash from UV damage. The trunk is sizable, and all of the OEM tools and spare tire equipment are present. The trunk lining is not soiled or stained like most BMWs. My wife and I have taken the car on several road trips and have always had enough room for luggage. Overall, the car is very nice and enjoyable to drive. I would personally rate this car as being a grade of 9 out of 10. I have all of the records and original sales paper work with the car. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. On Feb-03-11 at 20:05:58 PST, seller added the following information: I have had several inquiries concerning the road worthiness of my roadster with regards to its' capability to drive cross country after buyer pick up, and I do not have any reason to believe that my BMW would not complete a cross country road trip. My wife and I have taken the car on multiple weekend get aways all over the southern region without failure. With that in mind, if the winning bidder wished to fly into DFW or Love and drive home in his or her new BMW I would be willing to meet that person at the airport, bring that person to my home, review the car, and guide them on their way home. On Feb-05-11 at 10:45:30 PST, seller added the following information: I have had a few inquiries from prospective buyers who live in northern locations concerning rust. This BMW has been in TX its' entire life. To the best of my knowledge it has never been driven on a salt covered road. I have thoroughly searched the body and structure for rust, and I did not find any signs of rust. From my personal experience, one should only buy a car located in an area where one will find rattle snakes and scorpions, which means Arizona or Texas, and this car is conveniently located in Texas.
