Vehicle Detail
This auction listing is for a 1969 Chevrolet Suburban 3 door. These are very rare and make great daily drivers. I bought it to build up for my dad, but we have shifted directions and he is now building a rat rod truck. I currently have a 1970 Suburban and I am including a picture with this auction so you can see what these "can" look like if fully restored. This truck is a solid truck with some rust. However, for listing liability purposes, I will say it needs a full restoration. It is a running/driving truck and I drove it 2 1/2 hours home from Eastern North Carolina when I purchased it. It does have some rust in the normal areas. Primarily the passenger side rocker panel. Which is common. These are available from LMC truck or Brothers Truck Parts for around $30-50 dollars. Otherwise the truck is solid. I would plan on trailering it to wherever you are going, because the truck hasn't been on the road much over the past couple of years. Ya never know if a hose or belt could go. The truck has newer Michelin tires, and the previous owner said it had new brakes, & hoses. I haven't checked the pads, but the hoses look newIt just needs some work to be a good show truck. Now, with all of that said. Do I think this truck would make a great project? Yes. However, this is basically a project truck, so I am not going to go around and touch on every scratch or blemish. It's all there, it's pretty solid, and it runs. Just plan on rebuilding it. It is available over the next couple of weeks to view if you are serious about it. There is no tag/license/ or insurance on it, so while I will let you take it around the block in my neighborhood, it is not available for "on the road" test drives. According to the older guy that owned it before me, he said it was owned by the "Johnson Boys" of NASCAR and they used it to haul the crew to the track. Does he mean Junior Johnson? I have no idea. But, this is NASCAR country, so if you chose to research it, I wouldn't be surprised to uncover a story or two about the truck. Buy it now is available and the Buy It Now is the average going price. So, it is a good deal also. Good luck and Happy Bidding. If you are planning on having it shipped, have the broker quote you from Exit 42 off of I-77 in Troutman, NC. I have had a great deal of success with Roy Podolin at Transport Time (www.transporttime.com) He works through a national database and can typically have your car picked up very quickly after the payment clears the bank. (good guy to work with, and reasonable) Typically, it would cost around $500 to ship the car from NC to New England, $1000 to the midwest, or $1,200 to the west coast. (hope that helps). If you would like an enclosed trailer, the cost will be a bit more. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. But, I will not give shipping quotes. I will just speak up for Transport Time, because I have used them several times. Sold as/is. No warranty
