RARE GT 390 4 SPEED CONVERTIBLE PROJECT! (ONLY 4300 CONVERTIBLE GT AND GTA'S COMBINED!) \ *****WOULD TRADE ***** 1966 fairlane gt convertible,(was 390 4 speed) Only a few thousand gt convertibles made... real deal, vin starts with (6h44s)! (6=1966, 44=gt convertible, s=390) , vin says it all...its a real fairlane gt 390 4 speed convertible!! This car was originally a 390 4 speed car, currently has no engine and trans, but everything else seems to be there, including the drive shaft, the pedals , the z bar linckage ,original interior, radio ,even has key in ignition. The car has some rust issues. the floor pans are bad and will all need replaced. However the rockers , frame rails and towers all look to be solid. the trunk has some rust( see pics). The drivers quarter is fairly solid but passenger quarter will need replaced.The hood has been replaced with a comet hood(do not have the original hood) the passenger door is rusty but the drivers door is fairly solid with only a few bubbles starting.Deck lid is bad. The convertible top frame looks good allthough there is rust down in the rear deck area under the top motor.Glass is fair, and grill is super. The radiator support has beed hit at some point and will need pulled out. Doors open and shut well, with no sagging! THIS CAR IS A TOTAL PROJECT, BUT ITS A RARE PROJECT WITH GOOD UPSIDE!
