1999 BMW M3 Coupe. Black exterior with a rare medium-tan interior with contrasting black doors and panels. 98,047 miles. I purchased this car in Arizona and brought it to the East Coast. I used it as a commuting vehicle however a lingering back injury prevents me driving a manual transmission any longer. I’ve only driven it a few hundred miles in the last six months so it’s time to go. Great gas mileage- far better than you‘d expect from a car like this, low yearly maintenance costs, has the ultra-rare, one year only (for E36 Model cars) side airbags. If it bothers you, this car has a few cosmetic flaws both inside and out. Inside, the driver side seat bolsters are worn on the left hand side of the seat, the entire dash unit controls for the a/c and fan have an electrical problem and only light up and work half the time, not a problem if you drive with the windows down anyway. Outside, there is a golf ball size spot of some sort on the sunroof, I think it‘s tar but I can‘t get it off. There are approximately 10 angular marks on the rear of the bumper below the trunk, they look like someone hit the car with an automatic air wrench in a garage, there are also approximately 2 light door chips/dents on each side, some light scratches on the top of the rear trunk and a scratch behind the drivers door and heavier vertical scratch behind the driver’s rear wheel. There is also a fair amount of paint chipping off the front bumper. The passenger headlamp has some slight fogging. There is a 2-in plug for the jack missing on the passenger side along the bottom, I have a new one in primer gray but it will need to be painted to match. I've tried to include photos of most of these things in the auction, they are hard to photograph on a black car. The auction also includes several manuals, books and assorted spare filters. Mileage will be slightly higher at time of transaction. I am open to having the car inspected, however I will not drive across the state to show you the car, nor will I be taking offers off-eBay so please do not ask. On Feb-08-11 at 12:54:41 PST, seller added the following information:It's been brought to my attention that the VIN# on the inside of the right front fender has been painted over and that the airbag light is on, which could mean the airbags have been previously deployed. There is also a missing spoiler along the bottom edge of the front bumper.
