1972 VW Bus Westfalia with pop-top camper. Well over $4,000 invested in mechanical upgrades and fixes! Need to sell to make room for new project. Clean/Clear title Looks like the original engine, may have been rebuilt at some point, not sure but it runs great. I drive it once a week and the engine always starts right up, and it runs great down the road with full power. Just replaced the original dual carbs with late 70's single carb (will include the original carbs) Mileage is about 180K (shows 80K but I'm assuming the odometer has turned over once) info:-New shocks and brakes all around. -New heater control cables, replaced heater pipes, heater and defroster work-Does not use or burn oil, drips just a little while its sitting like most old VWs but not enough to have to add any. -Camper top looks to be original and in good shape, no holes in window screens or canvas. -New rubber seal for the entire outside of the camper top and a new seal for the back hatch, but have not put either on yet. -Interior in good shape, sleeps four with two cots and room for two on the back fold out bed. Includes the original fold out table. -Has a Sony CD radio with JBL speakers in the door. Includes original pump sink and cooler -current VA inspection Needs: -Front seat cushions have minor tears in the original vinyl. -Outside needs a paint job-Small patches of rust here and there in the body, rust behind the bolted on peace sign, rust repair in the front floorboard, some rust in the front inner fenders, bondo-repair around front windshield wiper mount Great for someone who wants to continue restoring it or just to have a mechanically reliable bus as is.
