This listing is for a 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible that needs a total restoration and will be sold at No Reserve . Please know what you are bidding on and bid accordingly. CLEAR TITLE \and VIN'S are all there ...Dash, title, door tag ....Yes , they are matching It is a factory 289 C code 2 barrel car originally but has been changed to a 4 barrel . This car has been stored for many years and does run/drive around the parking lot but is NOT road ready. It is equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes. It is a restoration project in the making. The underbody is very rusty ( please see pics) and not for the restorer that really doesn't have underbody floor and frame rebuilding skills. I have new inner rockers and floors that go with the car. The previous owner had good intentions but not the tools and skills necessary to perform a restoration on this model car. Needs front and rear torque boxes, rear frame rails at spring shackles, firewall to floor pans, floors, inner and outer rockers, front frame under floor extensions, and possibly other underbody items. I The tires are new Firestone whitewalls. The top is decent but would probably get replaced during restoration( it is power) . The interior is parchment and not terribly worn but will need new parts installed during restoration. The exterior has been restored back in the 1980's and will need to be gone through again. It does have a nice look to it and would probably be a better driver with a little mechanical work as the engine sound great and the trans does function. It is a complete car. Yes, it can be driven but the exhaust is deteriorating. The brakes feel good and stop ok. The car looks great from the outside , it is just that the underbody has never had any attention to restoration. Most Mustangs get this rust if they are from anywhere east of the Rockies, There are a lot of shops and individuals that can do these repairs. I have seen some excellent work done in home shops or garages so maybe this Mustang is for you as a complete excellent project car that runs and drives is getting hard to find. As for doing the repairs yourself, you must at least have a mig welder , cutting torch setup, air chisel, hand held disc grinder , (and other tools )and assorted safety gear . This would be a great father / son project !!! Teach your kid skills that no one else of their generation will have . Wow their friends !!
