This Practical and Economical 4 Door Sedan recently traded into us on the purchase of a new car. This car has only 103k miles! Since we traded it in, it has been a super reliable and dependable mode of transportation. Great 36+ Miles Per Gallon, Fun To Drive Automatic Transmission, In Dash CD Player and more! Exterior: This Neon SE is Midnight Blue Pearlcoat. The paint is in what I would consider Fantastic Condition for the age and mileage. I noticed a small ding and scratch on the rear passenger door and another small scratch on the rear passenger side quarter panel. Both of these could probably be buffed out with no problem. They appear to be light and superficial. The paint is surprisingly lustrous and shiny. This Neon is riding on a set of 15” Factory Wheels with Brand New 185/60/R15 Tires! The Factory Alloy Wheels have surprisingly little to no curb chew on them. The spare is recess mounted so it does not take up any of the cargo space but is still easy to access. The outside of this Neon is Classic and Uncomplicated. The smooth clean lines add to the overall conservative appeal of this sedan. The right amount of upgrades make this car comfortable with out being complicated. This Mid Size Sedan has Molded Body Panels and Contoured Bumpers. The outside of this car has an exotic and more expensive appeal with sleek body matching accents and touches of chrome and black. You will find that outside features including exterior side view mirrors and window frames are in a coordinating black for a little extra appeal. The great part about black accents such as these is that if you ever need to replace any of them, it is cheaper since they don’t have to be painted to match any specific body color. As you can see in the pictures, the Exterior of this 2005 Neon is Sharp and Sporty! The exaggerated headlights, body matching moldings, subtle black and chrome accents, and more make this sedan Nice to look at and even nicer to ride in! Overall, the Exterior of this Neon is in way better condition that I would expect for a 2005 model car. As mentioned before there are a few very minor imperfections, but there is no sign of normal wear and tear on the exterior of this Neon. This leads us to believe this 1 Owner sedan was most likely garage kept. Interior: The Interior of this Neon is Awesome! You will find the overall Interior of this Car to be in Very Good to Excellent Condition. The Inside of this car is better than what I would expect for a 2005 model car. The Interior of this Car is a combination of Dark Gray and Black Interior Panels. The carpets and floor mats are all gray. The carpets are in great condition. The driver floor mat shows a small amount of wear, but that is it’s purpose-to protect the carpets. Seating: This Dodge Neon Seats 5 Passengers. The seats are upholstered in gray, luxurious cloth. The seats are super comfortable. The Fabric itself is thick and soft and shows very little wear. The plush fabric is perfect this time of year. Even in the heat, it never burns my legs and feels very soft to the skin. The seats are free from any significant tears, have no stains, and no burn marks. I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke and do not think anyone has every smoked in this car. The front seats are individual captain style seats with high back, contoured side bolsters, firm lower cushions and multi point adjustments. Both front seats are multi point adjustable. The seats are all firm and comfortable. I noticed the first time I drove this car how much this car sits like a full size sedan. Unlike a lot of other mid size sedans I have driven, this one is more comfortable. The seats have a nice high profile, no cramped feeling for any passengers. This car has sharp and responsive handling, and the steering wheel a very comfortable and natural feel. Both front seats have adjustable height shoulder belts and two adjustable height head rests. The Rear is a Split Bench that seats 3 additional passengers. This rear seat will flip down in two sections for added rear cargo and hauling space. You can let large items slide through the trunk into the rear. The seating surfaces back here look almost untouched. The Steering Wheel Itself is Black and in Great Condition. It is firm and smooth, and shows no wear from heat or sun (aka no cracking in the material.) As a matter of fact I see no signs of wear on the dash or steering wheel of this car. It was obviously cared for. Power Options continue with the power windows in the front, and manual in the back, this is standard in a Neon. There is a remote key fob and 1 key with this Neon. The fob works great. It not only locks and unlocks the vehicle, but it also releases the trunk. There is a Factory Sound System. There is a factory cd player right on the front dash. The radio sounds great and has a digital read out for easier tuning. There is also a carbon like trim on this dash. It looks really nice with the dark interior of the rest of the car. The Inside of this Neon Looks Great. This Sedan offers a Great Combination of Comfortable Sedan and Economy. Sedan Meets Sports Car with Plenty of room so passengers do not feel cramped yet the seats are contoured to offer a secure ride feel. There are oversized White Face Gauges that are easy to read and look Sharp that pair with an Practical Automatic Transmission. This Neon SXT offers a dependable and comfortable ride while still offering 34+ gas sipping Miles per Gallon! This Dodge lets you have it all for a tiny price! Front Seat Passengers have tons of features at their fingertips. There are dual Vanity Mirrors, the driver’s side has a slide cover to keep it clean. There are Overhead Reading and Entry Lights for all passengers. There is a surprising amount of storage in this mid size car. The front dash offers tons of storage. Under the radio, there are two front storage cubbies integrated into the front dash. There are three cup holders around the gear shifter. The center console opens to reveal more storage space. The top of the console cover flips open and folds back to reveal another cup holder for rear seat passengers and a tissue holder. There is a Locking Glove box with owner’s manual and the original window sticker included. Overhead, there are four passenger entry handles and two rear seat clothes hooks. Overall, the Interior is in Very Good to Excellent Condition. The Dark Gray Sport cloth and coordinating carpet is a Great combination. The only thing I notice is a minor light stain on the driver’s seat bolster. Again, very light. I am surprised with the condition of this Neon considering the age and miles. It looks awesome inside and out! Under The Hood: This Dodge Neon SE boosts a 132 Horse Power, 2.0 Liter I-4 Engine. The 122 cubic Inch Engine Displacement generates 132 HP at 5,600 rpm. Engine Torque is 130 lbs - ft. at 4,600 rpm. Even as a peppy car, this Neon still gets an estimated 28-36 miles per gallon, plus It runs on recommended Regular Gas, so no extra expense at the gas pump for premium gas. Driving Impression: Driving this Impressive Sedan has been just as it should for us. This practical car scoots around town as it should. While I am not racing cars from red lights, this Neon engine runs smooth, the transmission shifts as it should, the brakes do not pulsate, and the alignment is straight and true.
