Vehicle Detail
This car is relisted due to a Bidder, who bid like a demon to win, knocking out three other bidders. He failed to follow through after he won. I think he suddenly realized that is costs a lot of money to transport a car from VA to AZ. He should have thought of that before he knocked out serious bidders. True Muscle Car Project Locally Owned Virginia Car Rare Non-A/C & 'Q' Code 351C 4V With C6 Auto & 9" Rear Last State Inspection 11/16/1984 in Virginia to a Lady Clear Title Inhand (In My Name) Please Note: The 73 Torino 351C 4V Cobra Engine came with a Four Bolt Main Block & with 4V Heads that have larger Ports & larger Valves. Currently, a 4V to 2V Adapter sits on the 4V Cobra Intake Manifold with a 2 Barrel Carburetor installed in place of the Four Barrel Carburetor. This Torino is equipped with Power Front Disc & Rear Drum Brakes, Power Steering, AM Radio, Rally Instrument Cluster with Tachometer & Gauges, Laser Stripes, Dual Sport Mirrors, Dual Exhausts, C6 Automatic Transmission and a 9" Rear with 3.25 Open Gears. The Torino is rough, having sat outside in the weather since 1985. It does not run. I've never attempted to crank the engine. In order to take the car, a Rollback with a winch would be needed to load the car. I don't have the keys. I lost them. A locksmith can re-key the existing locks to provide new keys. A rectangular shaped key operates the door locks and the ignition lock. An oval shaped key operates the trunk lock and the glovebox lock. The car needs a new Trunk Pan & Floor Pans. New sheet metal is needed for the Quarter Panels, but Patch Panels may do the job. These are available from Perogie Enterprises and Auto Krafters. A reproduction Laser Stripe Kit is available from Auto Krafters. The seats are from a 73 Torino with Brougham interior. The seat track bottoms have rusted off. Perogie has seat tracks or whole seats. It is missing the AM Radio, the 4V Carb & Spacer, and the 4V Cobra Air Cleaner with chrome top & vacuum operated open air door. Before divorce, I wanted to restore the car to new condition, but upgrade everything to the latest technology. Thus, instead of installing rubber suspension bushings, I'd use black Polyurethane bushings. Instead of rebuilding the engine 'as is', the 4V Heads would be upgraded to Boss size valves, the block would be stroked to 408 CID and the entire engine would be fully race prepared. I'd install a Hydraulic Roller Cam Assembly with around 600 lift and use Pedestal Mount Roller Rocker Arms under the stock valve covers. I think the Intake Manifold has a Holley base and not a Spreadbore base, so I'd purchase a Ford 735 or 780 CFM Holley and Spacer Plate from Pony Carburetors, which has been race tuned to the engine specifications. I'd gasket match and blend the 4V Exhaust Manifolds and reuse them. A 2 1/2" Exhaust System would be installed. The stock distributor would be upgraded to electronic and I'd install a hidden MSD ignition system. The C6 would be upgraded to Super Heavy Duty status. The 9" Rear would get 3.89 Posi Traction Gears & 31 Spline Axles. The rest of the car would be restored to 100% stock. If you have questions, you can contact Jim at (276) 629-6170.
