Vehicle Detail
I'm selling this 1997 E320 that was in an accident. I did not have collision insurance, so the insurance company isn't involved with the title of the car. Since I owned it with no financing, it is a free and clear title. I am pretty sure since the insurance company is not covering the car that the title will not be an R (salvage) title if need to transfer. I am guessing that the car is pretty much a parts car due to the fact that it hit a telephone pole on the passenger rear door and I can say with almost curtainty that the frame is bent at that location. The door post between front and rear doors is twisted and passenger side trunk and hood gaps are not as they were. Now, for the damage, it seems to be limited to the rear passenger door, and undernieth the door is bent in pretty good. The glass is broke on that door but all other glass is fine including sun roof. Drivers side doors work fine but front passenger door won't open due to the pillar being twisted. The gaps on the hood and trunk are out of whack but no damage to them besides that. I just had the car painted 7,000 miles ago so the rest of the body is in very good shape. There where a couple scuffs on the passenger rear quater panel, but would have been able to be buffed or even waxed out easily. The front of the car did sustain damage to the passenger side fairing where the fog light is located. above that seems to be fine. The interior is in almost perfect shape with exception to the glove box from being off, this was done on the scene in my haste to get documention out of it as it did stick now and then, but exterior was perfect. All lights, except pasenger fog light(which is actually intact but can't garuntee brackets weren't broken) are in good shape, no cracks etc. the engine ran perfectly before the accident and started up at the scene so I am pretty sure it is still in great shape. It never burned oil or smoked at all. The only issue I had at the time of the accident was that the brake wear sensor light had just come on 3 days before the accident. As far as undernith the car, I can't say to any damage as I don't have a lift to check it out. It did slide in the snow for about 30 yards so it could have done a little damage to the muffler . It could be perfectly OK too. None of the air bags deployey and the fuel was not shut off to the best of my knowledge as it started at the scene. Accident 6 days prior to this listing. Pictures taked day of listing. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
