FOUND!!! 1980 242 GT Volvo out of a garage, It's a nice car with very, very little rust just in one side of the rear passenger inside wheel well about the size of a silver dollar. Both wheel tubs (butt cheeks) are in good shape. The K-jet is apart but the motor turns over with good compression. The transmission is a 4 speed with no overdrive, so it’s been changed out sometime in the past. It has 4 perfect Virgos with lugs and perfect center caps. GT grill is near perfect and complete the car was stored in a heated garage for 14+ years so EVERYTHING is nice and dry. All the weather stripping is in very fine condition with no dry rot. Headliner is perfect. Sun roof works. Dash is perfect with not a crack in it. Body is straight and dent free. All glass is good, even has the original windshield in very good condition. The carpet was removed to check out the floors and they are mint, and even the carpet is nice. Steering wheel is very nice and complete. Also has the original de Carbon Orange shocks and struts along with both front and rear sway bars. Brakes work, but will need a rebuild. Interior is very nice with small tear on the driver side it just needed a real good cleaning which I gave it. The paint is old but the car had a good repaint and may be salvageable. Bumpers are nice. Exhaust is there and solid but has surface scale rust. No rust in the front core support and fenders or under the cowl, doors trunk ect… Hood is straight. All badges present, (though not attached). These cars are getting harder to find especially in this condition. They are somewhat rare and will continue to appreciate in value. The car is a very good starting point for a project it just needs the mechanicals sorted out to be a good runner. Car located in Annapolis Maryland. Call David @ 410-980-2739 Clear title in hand.
