Up for sale...my FINALLY DONE 1967 VW Karmann Ghia Vert. Factory black with white top and interior. First things first....complete total body off restoration. EVERYTHING has been replaced or modified. The pan is undercoated. All new rubber and seals. Roll bar so no backseat. Everything works on the car; including dome light and reverse lights. Re-chromed factory bumpers, HID headlights. Paint is like a black mirror. Everything is painted inside and out. Car was in Volksworld Magazine June 09. You can look up back issues. It was resto mod. I took it to two shows and I placed 1st at both. I have 80% of receipts for all work done. Ok....here is the good stuff! FRONT END: Front beam narrowed 5 1/2 inches; Adjustable front end with all new seals and rods; Monroe air shocks with compressor and dump valve; all stainless lines - brake and air; 2 inch dropped spindles; drilled German front rotors; rebuilt calipers with stainless hardware; rebuilt steering box. INTERIOR: Interior is completely redone with dyno mat sound deadening material; factory recovered seats and door panels; auto meter tac with shift light; oil pressure, oil temperature and boost pressure/dakota digital cylinder head temperature gauges; short throw shifter with line lock and rev limiter; flat 4 Empi style steering wheel; custom dash pad; custom gas pedal. I didn't replace the visors, but I had them vinyl painted. I also didn't replace the rearview mirror or the side mirror because the replacements looked really cheap and I kinda liked the old look on them. REAR END: KCR of Riverside built 3.88 R/P chromoly pinion retainers/super diff H/D side plates, chromoly 1st-4th gears, welded gears hubs; steel forks, hardened key ways, German synchros and bearings, sway away H/D axles and tubes, gusset case. Gear ratios: 3.55 first, 2.06 second, 1.26 third and 0.87 fourth. Kennedy stage two pressure plate with metal woven disc, chromoly lightened fly wheel; Willwood 4 piston dyno light calipers with floating drilled rotors and aluminum hats with stainless lines. ENGINE SPECS: 2165CC Type 1; CB Performance Super Case; CB Performance one-piece 4340 chromoly super race crankshaft (78.8mm); 5.4 inch CB Performance super race rods; 94mm Mahle forged 94mm pistons with Total Seal rings; custom grind Isky camshaft; CB Performance Competition Eliminator cylinder heads; with 46 and 40mm stainless steel valves; K-motion K-800 valve springs; chromoly retainers; Pauter Machine 1.5 billet roller rockers; Compression ratio: 7.5:1; Single 750cfm Holley Proform carb with billet metering blocks and base plate on custom made 2 x .065-incg aluminum inlet manifold; Turbonetics - T3/T4 hybrid turbocharger reworked by TURBO CITY with carbon seal billet backing plate. F1-62 .45 A/R and Turbonetics Evolution wastegate; MSD 6AL ignition module; MSD boost retard; MSD two-step rev control module with two rpm selector modules; MSD 5462 universal boost timing master, MSD 8mm ignition wires; MSD billet distributor; MSD Blaster coil NGK, d8ea spark plugs; CB Performance hideaway turbo header; ceramic coated inside and out by HPC of Arizona. 96-plate oil cooler with fan; Fram HPH oil filter; Melling 36mm oil pump; Holley Blue Electric Fuel Pump. IT'S A BEAST! WHEELS: American Racing Torque Thrusts IIs with 17x8 in back with 215/45/17 rubber; the fronts are 15x5 with 135 tires. There are many parts including brand new white wall tires that will go with the car. The car will be easy to put back 100% original if you so desire. That was part of the plan.
